Sutton Lodge with Hot Tub

The lodge was lovely! Was clean throughout and much bigger than expected. Has everything we needed, perfect little trip.

The property was not very clean cobwebs an kitchen doors hanging off. Tv in bedroom with no remotes an stains on the bedding an sofa bed

Size of lodge, location and looks nice

Wasn't as clean as it should be, decking hadn't been cleaned, there were bottle tops scattered and furniture cushions just thrown on, not arranged. Cork still in corkscrew. Sofa are ready for replacement, they are sunken so not comfy as we're the mattresses in the doubles

The inside of the lodge was nice and clean. Lots of space for my family of five. Great, if you like golf, peaceful location, and not too far from York town centre

The windows were filthy. There was mould in the shower and the outside decking area around the hot tub had clearly not been cleaned for some time.

We liked the look of the lodge, the scenery, the kitchen area. The general area it was situated.

It wasn't very clean. There was a dead wasp under my son's bed covers. There were lots of spiders and webs particularly in the living room/dining room area. The hot tub filter wasn't up to standard. There was mold in the shower. It has lots of potential but not clean to our standards. We booked breakfast the night before for our breakfast the next day at the restaurant on site. They asked to confirm that morning. They then cancelled at the last minute leaving us to find breakfast in York with 3 kids.

Accomodation had everything needed and was beautifully presented on the outskirts. Lovely park and felt very calm and safe Hot tub was lovely The open day was a lovely addition and great for families

Could be cleaner, lots of areas needed a dusting higher up. Had to avoid dangling cobwebs. There should be a mat by the double french doors for when the hot tub is in use Had to use own towels to protect the floor. The double mattress in the double room (not master) was exceptionally uncomfortable, very springy and hard- I did not sleep well at all and ended up with awful back pain. There was an awful smell in the main bathroom!!

The location of the lodge was great, nicely positioned with a view of the mini lake. It was quiet and peaceful with plenty of space between the lodges. The country park was beautiful, nicely kept and so peaceful. The lodge itself was lovely, nicely decorated and well kept. The size of all the rooms were great, along with the bathrooms and the added utility room was great for storing cases and bits that you wanted out of the way. On the whole a lovely stay.

The lodge needs a few new things; the hot tub head rests and filter head kept coming off, and when it was mentioned we were told that they are being replaced soon so that's good for future users. The two sofas (ones a sofa bed) need replacing as they're not comfortable anymore after so much use. We unfortunately couldn't sleep on the sofa bed as it wouldn't go into position properly and dipped under very little weight. We ended up using the sofa cushions in the bedroom for our 2 year old to sleep on and us take the single beds. The glass wear could do with being better, there were very few matching glasses, and not enough wine glasses to service the number of people in the lodge. And the final thing was the cleanliness, on the whole it was fine but the deck had been missed, and the bathrooms could be cleaner.
