"Harewood Lodge Come Hostel"

The room was a good size, lovely big windows, so plenty of natural light. The location was good as the bus stop was just a four minute walk away. Liked looking at the baby deer and the geese and cockrel from the kitchen window. But was not keen on the wake up call at 5:30 am from the cockrell.

The bed was very unconfortable, i had a backache the following day. The pillows were too hard. The TV in the communial room (Kitchen) did not work. No wardrobes or hanging rail in the bedrooms. The bed clothes were nylon and did not like having to go through the shared kitchen to get to the shared bathroom. There were no shelves in shower cubicle for toiletries. The shower could not be ajusted. Should be advertised as a hostel.

⚠️ DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY – COMPLETE SCAM ⚠️ Absolutely shocking experience. The property owner contacted me just TWO HOURS before my scheduled arrival to tell me that the booking had been cancelled because the property was “not ready for use”.

After planning the trip, travelling, and relying on this booking, being left stranded at the last minute is completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. There was no proper notice, no reasonable alternative offered, and no regard whatsoever for the inconvenience caused. Avoid this property at all costs unless you want the stress of potentially having your accommodation cancelled at the very last minute.

Nothing booked this property and they took my money and never sent me the details on how to get in and have ignored my messages for days now. DO NOT BOOK

The fact they con you out of money and then ignore you when you ask for it back as you couldn’t stay there!

Location was nice, the farm animals outside are lovely

Awful check-in system. You have to download unwanted bloatware app to your phone and grant it many permissions just to open the door. It is very shortsighted to assume everyone has a smartphone and that you have spare memory to fill your phone with apps (let alone want to due to the inconvenience and privacy concerns.) The place was very untidy / dirty as well.
