Have to climb many stairs so not very accessible to other restaurants

The location was unique and as close to paradise as I’ve ever been. The staff were simply amazing nothing was too much trouble from meeting us at the car park in the middle of a thunderstorm with umbrellas and men to help us carry the bags as it was a bit of a climb in the pouring rain. To showing us the local wildlife and suppling a menu to die for everything was so tasty and made fresh by the lovely ladies in the kitchen. I have had the most amazing life experience and if I spent all day praising this brilliant set of people it still wouldn’t do the justice all I can say is try it for yourselves you won’t be disappointed ❤️

Absolutely nothing

You need to book your stay now, you will definitely not regret it! Me and my partner have been lucky enough to stay in over 30 different accommodations in the last 3 months over 5 different countries in Asia, and by far Orangutan bungalow has treated us with the best service, experience, friendliness and the most amazing food! Extra shout out to Amri and Dion for our 2 day 1 night trek into the jungle which was incredibly hard but amazing! (Get ready to be fed like a king, but sweat from places you didn’t know existed, we also think this is catered to your fitness level as we seen people of all ages, shapes and sizes doing different hikes) And also a huge shout out to risky and the amazing ladies that do all the cooking! The whole stay is extremely smooth, from them helping you organise transportation getting to them (which is an experience in itself it’s 4-5 hours in a car from Medan airport, and then a 15 minute trek through the jungle) someone then meets you and helps you up, don’t worry they also have a fridge where you can buy cold beer, coke, water and sprite, which is a completely reasonable price. You may also be lucky enough to see Thomas Leaf monkeys from your balcony which woke us up on our last morning, which was amazing!

This is not necessarily their fault as you know what you are booking however I get extremely hot and there is no air con however you do get a fan in the room.

De bungalows liggen bij de ingang van het nationale park. Vanaf het parkeerterrein is het een minuut of 10 omhoog lopen. Heel fijn dat 2 jongens onze bagage wilden dragen. Mooie tuin waar je de aapjes vanaf je balkon kunt zien. Personeel heeft de jungle trekking en vervoer geregeld voor ons. Betalen kan gewoon met creditkaart.

Een comfortabel bankje of stoel was wel fijn geweest in plaats van de houten banken

I can not put in words how much I liked my stay at OrangUtan Bungalow. The accomodation is beautiful and outside of the village right by the entrance to the National Park. Rizki, Robin and Danny were the best hosts and guides. I will definitely come back !
