Suber schöne Lage und extrem nettes Personal. Optimale Ausgangslage wenn man auf Dschungel Trekking geht.

100 meters from the entrance to the National Park. Staff happy to arrange (required by the government) guides and trekking. Meals cooked on request. Lot of wildlife visible from the balcony. Basic facilities - nothing fancy, but pretty funky individual bungalows will plenty of mosquito netting.

Long, steep climb up from the main village, although getting away from (most) of it all is part of the experience. Good meals, but pricier than the village restaurants.

Location is great. It is a bit of a challenging walk uphill for around 15-25 minutes depending on your speed, but the location is well worth the effort when you get there. It is the last set of accommodation before you enter the jungle.

The place was v v dirty. They had not debugged the place at all. There were loads of dead bugs on the mosquito nets. There were colonies of ants scavenging and eating dead creatures on the floor so clearly bugs/creatures had been dead for a long time. The rooms definitely had not been cleaned or swept prior to our arrival. We even asked the staff to de-bug our room and the gentleman did try his best to do a quick job which reduced the number of dead bugs visible but it was not sufficient cleaning. It's the jungle - I wasn't expecting it to be bug free but to have ants eating other dead bugs and for there to be bugs everywhere when we arrived was not nice. Even though we had paid for 3 nights on booking.com prior to our arrival, we ended up taking the 2 nights charge on the chin and we actually left after the first night to stay in a different accommodation in bukit lawang near the river. This place was clean and tidy with no dead bugs and clean mosquito nets!
