Summit Mountain Lodge and Steakhouse

Amazing view of the mountains and the cabin was beautiful inside and immaculately clean.

Wi-fi only available at the big lodge, and only during certain hours.

Location to East side, Mountain View, sunrise. Dinner on site very good convenience was a huge plus. Staff were super nice and attentive.

No WiFi which is the point of being away but planning. Activities / hikes would have been nice. They did have a solution by walking to the check in building which did have good access to WiFi. Overall - It was nice so this is pedantic (did not report as they were minor but sharing for expectation setting). Would definitely recommend…. Cabin floors were a bit dirty, an old window unit for HVAC, mosquito infested at the mid June time, very little hot water for 2 people, dryer in shared laundry did not work. Trains were constant outside the cabin was a major rail system but not a major issue.

Just off Highway 2, I stayed in one of their log cabins. Clean. Two double beds. Enough room and with the possibility of seeing a bear or moose depending on the season. I liked the general serenity punctuated by the rumbling of an occasional freight train.

They had just opened for the summer and internet was only available in the admin/dining building. That said, peace and quiet without social media has a joy of its own.

The cabin was clean and very comfortable.

The mail lodge was closed. Breakfast was provided only for 2 days out of four and wad more than basic. We were given 4 bagles, 4 yogurts, and 4 bars for 2 people for 4 days. No cutleries were provided until we found a man who worked on the property and asked him. No tea. Tried to message the host with no answer.
