Summit Mountain Lodge and Steakhouse

The cabin was adorable. The steakhouse was fabulous! Our waiter was a nice young man from Croatia, and he was excellent!

A beautiful cabin in the woods. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The owner was right there helping with everything. You could tell this was his dream and that he really cared about his guests and staff. The food at the restaurant was amazing! Every night was a culinary delight. Breakfast in the lodge looking out at the sunrise was perfect.

Noisy due to trains running every hour. Bed and beddings could be more comfortable.

Power outage… no water. Could not find anyone on duty and nobody communicated with us. 3 hour outage, we drove to town for drinking water. When we checked in the chef was seen being mean to an exchange student worker. Too aggressive! I will not go back or recommend for these reasons.

The Food was good at the restaurant

The stairs to the beds in the loft were dangerous. The bathroom was cramped and small, not terribly clean and behind the kitchen on the main floor. Had to leave lights on at night. The only heat was a gas stove in the living room, bedroom too hot and the rest of the place too cold. The TV was pay TV only. The staff were foreign students in for the summer, their English comprehension was poor at best. The breakfast was from 7-9 only. There didn't seem to be anyone who was proficient in English to talk with about problems. The property is next to a busy railroad track. The price was astronomical for what you got. I felt that we were taken to the cleaners at $641.00 for a place would only pay $200.00 for. I would not recommend this place.
