Summit Mountain Lodge and Steakhouse

Loved everything about our stay at Summit Mountain Lodge. The cabin was spacious, nicely decorated, with super comfy beds, cute seating area, good shower (remember to bring your own shampoo, as they only provide soap). Beautiful well maintained grounds, and gorgeous view. The place is serene and quiet, with distance train whistles just adding to the charm. The Stakehouse food was delicious, and the international crew of young waiters was hardworking and sweet. The continental breakfast at the shared lounge had nice choices. Also, the lounge had steady Wi-Fi, good enough for us to catch vehicle reservation tickets to Glacier on every morning of our stay.

Quiet location a moderate driving distance to Glacier National Park. Very accommodating owners who made sure you had everything you need. The property had a restaurant on site which was fine dining. Family oriented property owners who treated you like family.

It was hard to get internet so you are back to basics which was ok by us! Just from an emergency prospective.

We had a large rat in the unit eating our food, went in our bed. It woke us at 3am we left after an hour of trying to get it out . We were told we would receive a full refund. It’s 6 days later and has not shown up yet

The Cabin was roomy and the beds were comfortable.The towels were nice.There were many unfriendly notes around threatening charges if you left the dishes dirty or ruined the towels etc.. which we found distasteful.

The Cabin floor was dirty enough to make your feet dirty after walking around barefoot after taking a shower. The shower was either extremely hot or ice cold with no in between temperature setting. The sheets and cabin smelled like wet dog odor.The kitchen was poorly stocked (no Salt). The unpleasant odor was the biggest disappointment.

It was so quaint and quiet and right off the main road. The landscaping was beautiful and the location was perfect facing the southern border of GNP
