" YOLO " LOVELY COTTAGE

De familie heeft ons super goed ontvangen. We hebben heel lekker gegeten op het terras bij de cottage. De gastheer heeft ons met zijn tuktuk taxidienst rondgereden in Ella en ons bij een waterval gebracht waar we konden zwemmen. Echt een super leuk verblijf gehad!!

Het verblijf is wat verouderd, maar laat dat je niet tegenhouden want de vriendelijke familie compenseert meer dan genoeg!

Unser Aufenthalt im Yolo Lovely Cottage war ein wirklich wundervolles Erlebnis! Eingebettet in eine so friedliche und ruhige Umgebung ist dieser Ort der perfekte Rückzugsort für alle, die dem Alltagstrubel entfliehen möchten. Die Architektur und die Inneneinrichtung sind geschmackvoll gestaltet und machen die Zimmer sowohl gemütlich als auch optisch ansprechend. Die Zimmer waren außergewöhnlich sauber und komfortabel. Besonders gefallen hat mir die friedliche Atmosphäre und die natürliche Schönheit rund um das Cottage, die für einen sehr erholsamen Aufenthalt sorgten. Die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich freundlich und immer hilfsbereit mit einem Lächeln; ihre Gastfreundschaft ist erstklassig. Auch das Essen muss ich unbedingt erwähnen – es war köstlich, frisch und schmeckte wie selbstgekocht. Es gibt wenige bessere Orte für einen erholsamen und unvergesslichen Urlaub mit Freunden oder der Familie. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch. Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die eine erfrischende Auszeit suchen!

Wir hatten ursprünglich nur eine Nacht gebucht, haben unseren Aufenthalt aber direkt auf drei Nächte verlängert, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich, die Gastfreundschaft außergewöhnlich herzlich und das selbstgemachte Essen einfach lecker. Die Gastgeber haben uns bei allem geholfen – Transfers, Touren und sogar die Fahrt zum nächsten Reiseziel zu einem sehr fairen Preis organisiert. Die ruhige Lage nahe Ella war perfekt zum Entspannen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Our experience at Yolo was absolutely amazing. The room we stayed in was newly built with great attention to detail, and it had everything we needed. It was very comfortable and spacious, and the view was incredible. You wake up to a beautiful sunrise every morning. The food was also delicious and really added to the overall experience. The host, Vimukthi, and his family were always welcoming, smiling, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They also offer their own family transportation service, which made our trip even more special. Vimukthi personally took us to some of the most beautiful spots in Ella and later drove us to Yala National Park at a very reasonable and convenient price. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable experience!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The food is not to be missed - probably the best we had during our 3 week trip in Sri Lanka. The views from the balcony are top notch; especially sunrise whilst listening to all of the birds. What sets the cottage apart is the amazing hospitality from the entire family - so generous, warm and kind. We truly loved our stay here and were so sad to move on.

We were welcomed by a lovely family and we felt true and honest hospitality. The cottage is in a location 8 minutes outside Ella by tuk tuk and the family can provide the transfer in a very good price. The room is much better than the photos, probably the cleanest accommodation we stayed in Sri Lanka, where you feel that every detail has been taken care of. The location is excellent, in the nature, sleeping and waking up with the sound of birds. Very good local home made breakfast. Also note that every time we are looking for accommodation we check all hotels and reviews and we are very happy to have found this one. We totally recommend it.

Das Frühstück, die Terrasse und die Familie mit der wir jede tuk tuk Fahrt gemacht haben. Alle waren bemüht den Aufenthalt bestmöglich zu gestalten.

Nichts

Can't get better in Ella. A one room guesthouse in the hills with a great terrace for meals and relaxing, even a view from bed if you like. Friendly old couple greeted us and cooked us an incredible Kottu as we were hungry when arriving. Very close to Ella rock hike start and they can give you all the instructions to reach it.

Its a bit far from town if that's where you want to be in Ella (hint: you don't).

The incredible friendliness and welcoming hosts prepared the most amazing food every morning and evening! Best in Sri Lanka! Loved the view as well! From there hiking and relaxed nature experiences are just perfect!

The view is so cool! You even see the train, the little squirrels and bird. If sunny or rainy or windy, you can still relax on the terrace!
