Was a bit tired and dated - hot without enough fans

The location worked for us work wise .

The decor is extremely tired.kitchen equipment was all poor quality ,rusty or dirty . Bathroom floor was all blown from getting wet The shower drain was blocked The sofa bed was all ripped at the back of the cushions . Dining table is all marked and chipped . Main patio door frame is completely rotten .all the pictures and lampshades where are all wonky .it just shows the lack of care ...

The decor was very tired. Some of the kitchen equipment was very poor quality. For example there were two small pans and one was very rusty and the other very marked inside.

The location was lovely and the station was beautifully kept. A stones throw from the cottage was a small woodland which was great for dog walking. The views over the hills were stunning. The accommodation well presented and equipped. Comfy bed and great walk in shower. Great location to explore local villages and towns too.

Just beginning to need a little freshen up, eg. Fresh paint, dishwasher service. All very minor :-)

Excellent location just across the path to the railway station

The staff was responsive and nice. They tried to be helpful when the boiler broke down and did suggest alternative and compensation, which made all the 5 points I have given to the property.

I think the owner should consider updating the facilities. We stayed in the lodge Itchen Abbas, which has a broken rubbish bin and BROKEN BOILER. We did not have hot water for shower. (Photo showed low pressure and when turned on hot water the light didn’t flash normally) Luckily we could use the shower of the common area, but it’s inconvenient and not what we hoped for with broken legs after long running race. Hannah suggested compensation of £100 which we accepted. Until the point I write this review it hasn’t been processed yet. Another big issue is mosquitos. Hundreds of mosquitoes. We all had sleepless night before our races. Zero minute of sleep. They did have a spray for insects but we were not warned of this issue. Would be better if owner can warn their guests before especially in hot summer.
