it was quiet and had everything you needed inside the hotel

Location, staff and bar\restaurant.

This is a very nice place to stay but let down by little details. Some examples: lots of space in the room but no hooks for jackets and nowhere to hang clothes meaning we either had to live out a case for a couple od days or spread our clothes on the limited seat available. No real practical seating in the room so if you want to work with a laptop for example not really practical for more than a few minutes. The kitchen\entrance smelt of dog. I like that it's dog friendly and we had a dog but if you pay extra for a clean I'd expect at least a spray of air freshner. A shame these small things let down what is otherwise a very nice place to stay

No bath towels were provided just 2 very small hand towels Couldn’t use the hot tub as the rain was so so heavy and there was no awning over the hot tub Never seen anyone who worked there There wasn’t a table to eat food from or anything

Really enjoyable stay, the room was lovely and functional. Huge bath was great and nice that it was in a separate room. Hot tub outside was lovely and stayed hot. Comfy bed and decent kitchen with good appliances. Beautiful surroundings to go for a walk through the woods, loads of deer and other wildlife to see.

Since the weather was so horrible, there was a few things that could be improved on when spending so much time in the lodge. It was pretty disappointing that the bar and restaurant were closed for 2 weeks. I understand now that it's different owners, but I feel guests should be pre warned of this (luckily we brought enough food). The hot tub area would benefit greatly from being covered and with better lighting. Sofa in the room looks nice but in not very functional/comfy for two people. Smart TV not connected to internet.

Nice quiet location, good sized rooms

Poorly maintained, lot of dust on walls, old sweet wrappers behind drawers, lot of webs etc, not cleaned to a reasonable standard, electrics in bathroom need checking as light switch is adjacent to bath(illegal) and there is a socket in the corner. Not sure who is carrying out electrical installations on property but I’d be surprised how they managed to pass a completion certificate for this instal

Bathroom smelt rather damp and odd

Lovely location amazing room, bathroom was really lovely too and cosy bed. We were going to go out for dinner but liked the room so much we just stayed in. Even proposed to my girlfriend in the room and she said yes!
