Tree House Lodge

I spent one night here. Great breakfast, perfect location. One needs to climb some steps to get here but the view is worth it. The room was clean and comfortable in the chill air at night. Breakfast included fresh fruit and eggs. I would stay here again.

The view was phenomenal, as was the staff and the location.

The sounds/noise from the town was quite loud until about midnight. Then, some very loud roosters began crowing at 4am.

Location

False advertising. They didn’t give us the room that we paid for, then, they gaslit us and told us that the room we received was of equal value to the room we reserved. After they gave us a lesser room than what we booked, they told us they’d give a discount, which they never did. After we insisted a discount they said they’d kick out other patrons in the room we reserved (awkward). We were so tired with arguing back and forth with them that we settled for the lesser room which was dank and disgusting. Don’t waste your time or money with this place.

The room is nice, bed confortable.

The hotel is difficult to access, you have to climb several stairs to access it. Breakfast was served late to us, being the only ones and there was not much variety. I could hear the snoring of other people through the walls.

Anthuane was incredibly helpful as was the entire staff at the Tree House Lodge!

I should have known it would be up a lot of stairs, but I was not.

The tree house lodge was a great place to stay for touring Machu Picchu! It was a minute walk out from the main square, about a 5 minute walk to the bus up to Machu Picchu. The bed at the lodge we had was incredibly comfortable (speaking as someone with a bad back, I know!). The staff made our visit great. Wilkins and Anthuanet were very helpful. Wilkins connected us with a great tour guide for Machu Picchu at the last minute. The staff also held onto our bags safely at reception while we did our tour! Wilkins made the trip a success. Highly recommend staying here.

We didn’t have breakfast.

The noice right below our room . It was not worth $80.00 a night. We should have gotten the $43.00 price. We were going n bed and had to call because the electricity was off due to maintenance working below us that day.

We were looking for our tree house with the amazing view. What we got was a wooden little house on the first floor after climbing many many steps which was nothing close to the booking references and the photos. The house was older that the photos it smelled moldy and smelled like it had been closed for centuries. At night we slept with out coats on praying not to get a cold since everything was damp from the humidity. The shower was dirty with a broken window and really old. Thank God we had it only for one day. The price even if it wasn't crazy expensive was not worth it at all. I wouldn't recommend it.
