"Probably the best place to stay in Te Anau"

Well located a short drive into Te Anau this is a luxurious and welcoming place to stay. Excellent breakfasts provided by Sarah and an exceptionally comfortable room. Highly recommended

A little bit hard to find as the road appears at first sight to end at No 32 and the property is No 34! Perhaps a sign at the start of the drive would help if the neighbours did not mind. There is a postbox with 34 on it but that is not easily seen from the car.

"Beautiful setting, but you are staying in someone’s home."

The home is beautiful. The Lakeview is gorgeous. Sarah is a wonderful hostess.

It was our mistake that we misunderstood that we were staying in someone’s house. So basically you are paying for a room in a house. This is more a bed-and-breakfast; therefore, it lacks privacy. It’s a beautiful place to stay, no doubt, But understand where you are staying.

John (host) was genial in acquainting my spouse and I with our room, the property, and offered travel suggestions in and around Te Anau. Room was comfortable (especially the bed) and well lighted. Bathroom was beautifully appointed. Premises were clean, modern and we felt quite safe. Sarah prepared an absolutely delicious breakfast. A menu was presented featuring a number of main course options from which to choose. French press coffee and scrumptious croissants, choice of juice or smoothie were openers. Plenty of space for vehicles on property

Sehr schöne ruhige Lage mit Blick auf den See. Einrichtung ist Top in Ordnung und sehr sauber. Bequemes Bett. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber mit hilfreichen Tipps. Frühstück außergewöhnlich gut!

I was able to get a last minute booking and so glad I did!! Susan and John were very inviting and the breakfast was great. The views and peacefulness of their place was just perfect.
