High Leys Lodge

Sarah and John are the most gracious of hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - from the gorgeous views to the lovely accommodation- couldn’t ask for more! Would definitely stay here again!

The place is utterly exceptional. The view from the living room is unforgettable and combined with how private and catered the property is creates a feeling of something truly special. Hosts are great and you can see they put a lot of effort to make the experience great - the room was perfect and the breakfast in the morning prepared by the host was served with class that very often some professional hotels are lacking.

Wonderful Stay with Stunning Views and Excellent Hospitality We had an amazing stay at this lodge, thanks to the outstanding service provided by John and Sarah. Their warmth and attention to detail truly made our experience unforgettable. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking—waking up to such stunning scenery was a highlight of our trip. The breakfast was spot on—delicious, fresh, and perfectly curated to start the day on the right note. If you’re looking for a place that combines exceptional hospitality with beautiful surroundings, this is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at High Leys Lodge - John and Sarah were so welcoming and gave us great advice on our itinerary. The room was lovely with so many nice finishing touches and it was great to have access to the lounge with those stunning views (and Sarah’s homemade cakes!). We enjoyed Sarah’s packed breakfast for an early morning trip to Milford Sound. The breakfast at the lodge was also lovely - we chose the homemade pancakes.

Outstanding property and views with really high standard of food and comfort.

The location, and view from our room, overlooking Lake Te Anau and the Fiordland National Park mountain range, was simply stunning! Our hosts, Sarah and John, made us feel very welcome and assisted with restaurant bookings and provided sightseeing tips. The breakfast was excellent, and it was nice being able to relax and meet other guests over a glass of wine and a cheeseboard in the evening, while overlooking the lake and mountains. High Leys Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. Terrific location. Highly recommend.

Our only disappointment was that we only stayed two nights and would have liked to stay longer!

High Leys Lodge is home-from-home comfort accommodation with amazingly warm and attentive hosts. The comfortable rooms and shared lounge make this the perfect place to stay!

We loved everything. Truly the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The view was so spectacular and John & Sarah made the experience exceptional. Beautiful people. The added touch of having a full breakfast menu to choose from was extra special. They have left absolutely nothing out. Can’t rate ‘High Leys Lodge’ highly enough. A must stay for anyone visiting Te Anu 🤗
