Choona Lodge 'view of sigiriya & pidurangala with sunrise'

It was a beautiful view. The view of our room was not what we expected (family room) but we looked over the garden which was nice and social. The breakfast was basic but still good.

Really nice relaxing area. Close drive to lion rock and restaurants. Staff very friendly. Dinner was really nice.

Breakfast could be better. There was alot of dogs barking in the night.

The staff were so friendly - we booked an extra night and it wasn't a problem. We booked the quadruple room and it was very spacious and we loved the balcony. We only ate at Choona a couple of times but it was large servings and the food was nice. Our favourite thing was out the back of the property there is a rock which you can climb up which has views of Sigiriya and Pidurangula rocks. A great place to watch the sunset.

It was quite a way out of town. We walked into town once and it was a lovely walk ( about half an hour) but due to rogue elephants you wouldn't want to do this in the afternoon/evening. Being far out of town does make it very peaceful however and if you have a driver or have rented a tuk tuk this doesn't matter.

Great location close to the lion rock. Beautiful private viewpoint on the lion rock right behind the property. Friendly staff.

The beds weren’t very comfy. Both of us didn’t sleep great that night.
