Choona Lodge 'view of sigiriya & pidurangala with sunrise'

It’s a very homely resort. Don’t miss the view point if you stay there. The view of lion rock and Pidurangala is very clearly seen along with the Buddha statue.

Wooden houses located near the lake. Nearby there is a beautiful viewpoint of the surrounding area and Lion Rock. In the morning you can watch birds and walking peacocks. The owners were very friendly. They organized our stay and transport

Instead of morning coffee, it is better to drink fresh fruit juice ;-)

Location was good if you have use of rented tuk tuk.

Very basic. Not much interaction with staff.

Good food for fair money. Nice location, friendly people. Big room and large bed‘s. They arranged driver for us to go to the rock and also one who bring us to our next hotel.

The view wasn‘t the view from our room, what we thought when we booked it. The shower (water pressure) was really bad :/

We love the location of the property in the middle of authentic Sri Lankan village, Walking distance to Lion rock . We love beautiful , lash garden with little pond in the middle. Rooms are quite large with lots of character and big porch at the front. Breakfast was quite full fitting. Nothing really specia but that's a case in most of the places we stay in Lanka.

Really good value for money! Good location, the sunrise spot behind the hotel is amazing, staff was friendly and super helpful, good food for fair price, spacious room

Would have appreciated a mosquito net since there are many mosquitos around the hotel

Had a nice stay in the lodge, very close promixity to both rocks which was helpful to walk up. The room itself was clean and a contemporary wooden lodge. The drink on arrival and meal served were also homecooked and very nice as well, it saves eating out. A pleasant stay 😊
