Reindeer Lodge

The staff was very helpful and tried to accommodate us when we had issues. We got a free transfer every day to dinner location and back to the Lodge. We were staying in the Chalet (with private eco toilet and sink but no running water, there is a shared shower with sauna and hot tub, a „notmal“ toilet is available outside on the property. Breakfast is exceptional! ! You need to know how to make a fire ! - especially in winter (we had -20 degrees), otherwise you will be very cold!

The wood for fire goes out very fast, so you constantly need to add wood to keep the fire going (every 1-1,5hrs). This is not ideal for cold nights in the Chalet! One night the diesel heater stopped working and fire obviously went off in the night, so we ended up sleeping in -3 degrees. (We didn’t think about calling the emergency number..). The next morning we were offered to move to another chalet. The heater reparations started immediately. We also were offered to get a starter and a dessert as a compensation for the cold night.

Le lieu magique au bord du lac et des rennes

Le prix du transport en minibus pour 3 km quand on vient de Jukkasravi et qu'on n'a pas de voiture. Nous avons néanmoins apprécié qu'on nous propose ce service.

Over al forventning: højt serviceniveau, fremragende morgen- og aftensmad, hyggelig og ren hytte, supervenligt personale, vildt smukke omgivelser.

Rural location ideal for Aurora watching and learning about Sami culture. Great for practicing your fire building skills and decompressing from modern day stressors.
