Montrose Watertower

Host was excellent. Anything we needed for comfortable stay. More than enough food for our stay. History of building. Uniqueness of interior. Views from windows and full 360 from roof stunning.

Stairs to Penthouse steep. Once in it was worthwhile.

Fascinating quirky property. Wanted for nothing. Breakfast options available were excellent. Host was very helpful and welcoming and gave us lots of tips about the area.

I’ve never stayed anywhere like this - so quirky! The owner (and his dog) could not have been more welcoming. The views, the living space and the bath were incredible! The fridge was generously stocked. The location was perfect for Montrose. Will definitely be back!

Der Kühlschrank (großer Kühlschrank) war komplett gefüllt. (Milch, Obst, Butter, Speck, Eier, Wurst, O-Saft usw.). Die Aussicht vom Turm ist über die Stadt ist sensationell. Der eigene Whisky von Dag war die Krönung der Woche.

An der Unterkunft ist nichts anzumerken.

This is a unique and quirky property with a wonderful host. The property is full of character and was a very comfortable stay for my husband and I. We loved the record player and selection of records for our use. Parking was easy.

The property is on a busy road so you can hear the traffic.

Fantastic, very unusual property. Great views and very comfortable. The host Dag is very welcoming and helpful with an impressive whisky collection in the tower. Off street parking if you have a car. Lots of stairs but a lift on the outside of the building is used for luggage and passengers. Very well equipped kitchen if you're self catering

Nothing really we didn't like but the kitchen cupboards could do with being thinned out. Lots of items from previous guests that were out of date.

Our host, Dag, picked us up at the train station. He is so nice! We really enjoyed our stay. It's not like any place we have ever stayed with before, and I mean that in a best possible way. I would recommend the Watertower for those who are not looking for the typical hotel experience. Lots of food in the kitchen, and every kind of appliance I could think of, including a washer and dryer.

I can't think of anything, except for the stairs, but it's an old water tower and you're staying at the top (with a great view, by the way).
