Montrose Watertower

As expected it was a very interesting building to stay in and the views over Montrose were great. Dag the owner was a very engaging and accommodating host with nothing being a problem.

Such a cool, quirky place, really well equipped and appointed. Lots of interesting things and detail, plenty of accommodation and outstanding breakfast provision! Proper hospitality from the host Dag.

Liked Everything Place very quirky Cupboards fridge and freezer were full and told to help yourself to anything Also whisky barrel full of different bottles of whisky and some rum Told to help yourself Lots of old vinyl records and CDs to listen to Big copper bath, light candles fill with bubbles and admire view from window in front of you ,bliss Excellent views especially up on the rooftop Host living on premises so there if you needed him but kept discreet distance

Wonderfully eccentric venue. Quiet, spacious and comfortable.

Nothing everything was perfect

Both the accommodation and our host Dag were exceptional. The most unique apartment we have ever stayed in! Very comfortable, relaxing and a well stocked fridge too! The apartment is very close to the town centre and a five minute drive to the beautiful Montrose beach. We will definitely be booking this apartment again.

I don't have any negative comments about our stay.

The host is welcoming, helpful, and most congenial. The accommodation is wonderfully quirky and exceptionally well provisioned. Views are a knockout! The location is particularly good for coastal explorations.

No dislikes.

We loved our stay here. We felt very at home, it was comfortable, outstanding 360° views out to sea and across Montrose basin. We loved the history of the building and how it has been sympathetically preserved whilst adding in modern elements. The copper bath was wonderful! Our host. Dag, was incredibly helpful and friendly, leaving us a well-stocked fridge & cupboards to use, plus the wonderful whisky bar and record collection we enjoyed exploring.A brilliant base from which to explore Angus. Highly recommend it!

Nothing, it was exceptional!

Where do i start,, Dag the host went above and beyond, as soon as we arrived he took myself and the luggage up in his chariot lift. save my legs from the nearly 60 stairs :-) The Penthouse was amazing, quirky and unique with plenty of interesting touch's to keep your attention ,The view from roof is something else. The swing (my favourite) The Hammocks, The record player which gave us hours of entertainment with the large collection of records, and the whiskey Barrel WOW. The fridge was well stocked with plenty of choice for breakfast, there was also food in freezer and cupboards and the choices of tea and coffee were great, which we were told to help ourselves to, a true home from home. I would highly recommend the Water tower to everyone, My Husband and I love the east coast and have booked many places from Anstruther to Aberdeen and this one beats them all. Dag the host is one of the very best host's we've had the pleasure to meet, a generous genuine true gentleman. Thankyou for an amazing memorable stay..

My Husband says, after sampling the whiskey bar, walking down the 57 steps, could be a little tricky LOL,, No just joking there was nothing we didn't like.

Everything about this property was fantastic, all we could have asked for and more, the host went above and beyond, the only things we needed to take were our toothbrushes (not kidding) Views are spectacular from out on the turret, worthy of a visit for them alone (not for the faint hearted)

Didn't like the stairs (there's a lot) but the host had that covered too (lift on the outside of the tower)
