Montrose Watertower

The location was excellent - we were attending an event over the weekend at Montrose Playhouse which was only 5/10 mins walk away . My friend is from the area and it was a great base for visiting friends . The facilities were great and a fridge full of all that we needed - what a great surprise and very welcome . Dag (our host) had sent a message in advance to say all we needed was a toothbrush and he wasn't wrong ! :)

Nothing could be improved

There was a whole 'fridge full of breakfast foods to choose from, plus a great range of cereals. Plenty of tea varieties and coffees. In fact everything that we could possibly need or want. One of the best places we have ever stayed in, and Dag was an exceptional host.

There was nothing to dislike at all about this place. Dag has even set up a 'chariot' (an exterior lift) to carry up luggage. Anyone who has trouble with all the stairs, he willingly offers a ride in his 'chariot'.

Great property with fantastic views. Really comfy, good facilities and Dag was a pleasure and very helpful

Great location to explore local attractions including the Cairngorms, Dundee (V&A Museum)/HMS Unicorn and Dunottar Castle. Dag was very welcoming and provides an extremley well stocked fridge and kitchen. If you like Whiskey you are also in for a treat! Luggage is taken up to the apartment by lift so no need to lug this up the 57 or so steps. Felt like a home from home.

A unique building with a brilliant host. Everything you can possibly need is provided. Bed very comfy. Breakfast included with quality ingredients. Would not hesitate to return.

Dag was a fantastic host, the tower itself is fantastic - such a unique accommodation choice and a great space with everything you could wish for. Fully stocked bar and fridge and classic country records to chill to.

I wish there were blinds in bedrooms - it was a very early start after a very late night!

The Watertower is a wonderful, quirky and comfortable place. There is everything you need and more for a relaxing break and Dag could not be a better host.

Great whisky selection and fully catered and well stocked kitchen. Lovely host.

Loved everything! Everything provided. Binoculars, fishing Rod, accordion, jigsaws, for whisky lovers a wee dram of every whisky imaginable in a wee barrel.Even the electronic gates were fun. Fully equipped for entertaining. Lift was great for luggage. Bed comfy. Copper bath awesome. Didn’t bother going out at night, after miles of beach walks with dog during the day. Washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher, huge stock of toiletries. Meeting Dag was a pleasure. Gate at top of stairs to stop pampered pets (even ours) from getting to bedroom level.

Nothing. Stairs managable and open the airways :) as stated, exercise bike at top of stairs to burn off excess energy reserves (not required in our case)

Dag was a generous and exceptional host. He left a fridge full of food and a bar full of whisky. The flat was beautiful and comfortable, a perfect place for a weekend getaway.
