Montrose Watertower

A fabulous property with a host , Dag , to match. The access to the property is up stairs to the top floor but once there the views are spectacular. A number of food items are provided to cover breakfasts etc along with a number of complimentary drinks. Easy off road parking accessed via a security gate.

The Montrose water tower was a great place to stay, very quirky whilst being clean and comfortable. The host Dag was very hospitable and very keen to assist, his communication was on point too!! We would certainly return!!

The host, the views and the home from home that Dag has created in this quirky location. It started with great communication and upon arrival a warm welcome and tour of the Tower - there’s so much to take in but there are reminder notes to help you. We stayed 4 nights and it really did feel homely, from the food in the fridge and freezer to the whisky barrel and accordion ! you’ll see. Good off road secure car parking. This is one of the best run we’ve stayed at. Spotlessly clean, and a great location for exploring Angus and Kincardineshire. you’ll no be disappointed I assure you.

Nothing was not likeable - a few stairs to get to the apartment so if you do have mobility issues this might be a challenge.

Extremely comfortable and spacious apartment. Very comfortable bed. Fully stocked fridge, freezer and drinks cask. Most hospitable host. Everything you could want from an apartment.

Not an issue for us in winter but I imagine some additional blinds in the bedrooms during the longer days of summer would be welcome.

we loved the unique quirkiness of this wonderful building and the 84 steps from ground floor to the very top! the outside lift to carry us and our luggage including our dog was amazing. what a gem of a find!

Having to leave

We loved everything about this unique property. The antique bath and complimentary whisky bar were things you don’t find in many places and the views were great from every window. The host could not have been any more helpful and accommodating.

There was nothing we did not like about the property but some people might struggle with the amount of stairs.
