Phaos at Saint John Villas with private heated pool

With warm thanks to Tassos, we had a perfect stay in Santorini. This lovely accommodation delivers! A character-filled villa, thoughtfully appointed and with a gorgeous heated pool overlooking the ocean. Located ten minutes walk from the charm and activity of Oia, it was a pleasure to return to the villa which felt like an oasis. Add to that the fabulous host Tassos whose communication in the lead-up to and through-out our stay was first class. Thanks to Tassos we secured some amazing tables at great restaurants in Oia and Fira - Tassos sent us links to parking suggestions for our outings which took the hassle out of driving. The breakfasts provided each morning were generous and delicious (the french toast and the quinoa bowl were wonderful), and we really enjoyed chatting with Tassos who was the perfect blend of discrete yet fully available. There are a lot of accommodation choices in Santorini - but if you value a personal approach with someone who really cares about guests as if they are family, then St John Villas is the perfect choice for you!

From the moment we booked our stay at Saint John Villa, we knew we were in for something special – but our expectations were far exceeded. Tassos, our incredible host, made this one of the most memorable and heartwarming experiences we’ve had. This villa truly felt like a home away from home. Tassos’ communication was impeccable from start to finish. He reached out well before our arrival with helpful tips and went out of his way to make everything smooth and seamless – including arranging a pickup for us when we arrived by ferry. When we stepped into the villa, we were honestly blown away. It was even more beautiful than the pictures – clean and thoughtfully arranged. It felt like stepping into a dream. Tassos greeted us with a warm welcome and a list of personal recommendations that made our 3-day stay truly special. From must-visit local spots to excellent, affordable restaurants (all of which turned out to be amazing), he made sure we experienced the best of Santorini. A standout touch was the portable WiFi device he provided, allowing us to stay connected wherever we went — a thoughtful convenience that made exploring the island even easier. Every detail was perfect: the villa was consistently spotless, had warm water at all times, and was extremely comfortable. But what really made the difference was the fresh, traditional Greek breakfast Tassos personally prepared for us each morning. It was not only delicious but served exactly as we requested — always on time, and made with care. This was hands down the best value-for-money stay we’ve ever had, and we left with full hearts and no regrets. Tassos’ kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality set this place apart. If you’re visiting Santorini, don’t think twice — Saint John Villa is the place to be.

A quiet oasis away from the Oia crowds. Watch the sunset from the comfort of your own place. Enjoy the heated pool, day and night. Tassos' hospitality was sincere and heartwarming. He gave us great ideas and local restaurants to try. A thoughtful man, he took care of us every step of the way!

We found it difficult choosing where to stay in Santorini, so we broke it down to, location Oia, private villa and heated pool. Saint John’s villas Oia meet all our requirements, the villa was very private and only 15 minutes walk to the centre of Oia. The heated pool was fantastic and the villa very modern and clean. The host Tassos was fantastic and assisted us from the day we booked the holiday until we left, with all bookings for transfers, taxis’s, restaurants, etc.

Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our host Tassos was incredible. Always there to help and offer advice and travel tips. Went out of his way to help reduce any inconvenience of travel on the island. The breakfast was fantastic; many options, and all delicious. The view view from our villa was stunning. The weather did cooperate during the first few days of our stay, but as soon as the sun stayed out, the pool heated up and it was so relaxing. The via was exceptionally clean and parking was very easy. Don't miss the opportunity to stay at this property.

Where to begin with this review..I’ll try to break it down into sections but to summarise, our honeymoon was absolutely magical at Saint Johns with Tassos as our host. The Villa * Super fast internet * Device you can take out with you to get internet anywhere you go * Quality portable speaker * Hot, good pressure rainfall shower * Big, comfy bed * Delicious breakfast tray every morning (fresh orange juice, butter flakey croissants and some really tasty cooked options, generous portions) * Beautiful sea views * Deep, warm pool * Everything feels new and top spec, no corners cut * Immaculately clean for the duration of your stay * Loads of downlighters, so in the evening everything is beautifully lit up * Peaceful and private - something you just don’t get staying in the centre of Oia The Location * Walking distance to Oia and Ammoudi bay, both of which are breathtakingly stunning and have a huge variety of amazing restaurants to choose from, with the best views I’ve ever experienced * Just in general, Santorini is my favourite of all the Greek islands I’ve visited (and I’ve been to quite a few!) * Oia is very easy to navigate, I loved that I didn’t have to do hours of research on where to eat and what to do ahead of time (thanks to Tassos too!

Our experience at Tassos’ villa was incredible. It's not far from Oia, so we could enjoy the peacefulness of the property and the wonderful pool with an amazing view. Every morning, we had a delicious breakfast in front of the sea, which was just incredible. The house was really clean and luxurious, with every amenity you could want, even sunscreen was provided! Tassos helped us have the best stay in Santorini with his local recommendations, and every restaurant and beach he suggested was fantastic. My girlfriend and I travel a lot around Europe and have had many great experiences, but our stay at Tassos’ villa in Oia has been the best one so far.
