Ratna Villa

Staff were amazing and were happy to run us to the drop off point at the Ratna Laundry when needed. Quiet location in Penestanan, but only 10 minutes, by bike, to the main streets of Ubud. Fabulous bars and restaurants on the local grounds, so no need to go too far from the Villa if you don't want too. Pool was great, a welcome relief morning and afternoon and at night. Frogs on the lawn at night. Fridge refilled with drinks daily. Older, larger, Villa - Indonesian owned and ran. In room Massage - ask Staff for Eka at Sari Ning Spa visiting services..

Kitchen appliances are getting old and maybe need replacement - toaster. No breakfast available at Villa. But warungs open early nearby for great cheap choices.

The property is a good one if travelling as a couple. Away from the chaos it has a personal pool, well decorated bathroom with shower and bath tub. We loved the bedroom as well and the sitting area with the kitchen.

It’s completely unkept. There are cockroaches which trouble you while sleeping at night, yes they get up on the bed at night, can be seen roaming in bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen. The owner are not bothered about your stay, they have only one element to sell : Money. The owner literally sent staff to pick me up from my stay which is 15 mins walk from her shop at 8pm to complete my payment just because I was checking out next day at 4 PM. She was not bothered about why I was checking out they thought I would run away without paying. After the payment, I was bothered to rent any scooter, maybe! Anyways nothing personal there, I still wont recommend for the cockroaches on the bed. They really need to clean the jungle they have inside every villa. Greenery is good but jungle isn’t. I stayed at many other stays at islands and also Ubud, all of them had trees, plants but all of them were well kept.

The private villa & infinity pool was fabulous. We felt very secluded.

It would have been nice to know there was no car access to the property, only motorbike or walking. Glad we didn’t stay first as would have arrived circa midnight & it would have been a bit scary.

The villa is clean. The outdoor area is nice.

Absolutely beautiful, nice safe walk from villa to main road. Did not even need flashlight to see at night. Villa was gorgeous, comfortable, and well maintained! Property was near end of villa lots so very quiet and secluded. We ended up staying extra couple nights we loved it so much

Little confused on what was in bottles in bathroom, maybe was to label 🏷️ if they are shampoo or soap. Other than that is was perfect

We stayed in Ratna Villa 3. The facilities are very pretty and look as advertised in the photos. The exact location of the villa is in a beautiful alley about 10mins by foot from the main road so its very peaceful and quiet. Across the alley are restaurants, bars and local shops. Only scooters are allowed (no cars, taxis etc) but the stuff picked up our luggage and moved them to the villa (via scooter). We requested breakfast one morning and they provided free of charge! Wayan (member of the stuff) was very helpful with any requests and questions we had and Ratna was responsive when we needed information.

Nothing really. Just a note that the villa is 25mins by foot from the Ubud center. Walking there is kind of difficult since the sidewalks are narrow and sometimes absent. You will either need to rent a scooter or taxi (Grab service) if you are not a fan of walking.

Private pool is amazing, good size Nice garden Owner is very helpful and supportive Very quiet location, far from busy Ubud, but still 20min walk or 7-10 by Grab Lots of warungs and massage salons in the area
