Dorian Guest House and Restaurant

Our trip took an unexpected turn when my husband was taken into hospital. The staff at Dorian have behaved like friends to us. They are all so understanding and caring. The place itself is lovely and I can genuinely say this is one of the best places we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Thank you Dorian crew for all you’ve done for us.

Excellent location rooms and food

We absolutely loved everything, The place looks great, very clean, lots of air and light, the rooms are very spacious, the staff is extremely nice and the manager and his wife went above and beyond to help in any way possible. The restaurant is very good, very fresh and tasty, ate there at least twice a day, same as the cocktails. We will be back for sure

The location is great

We stayed in a deluxe room, which felt like some of the basic rooms we’ve stayed in near by. The. Balcony was small with no real view because of the trees. The shower had bad drainage so was constantly wet, when we asked for an extra towel, it seemed like too much to ask and were told ‘You’re leaving tomorrow’ The manager wasn’t friendly, and didn’t make us feel welcome.

The location is perfect and the amenities were just what we needed, good value and totally comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful.

It was a little noisy at night from dogs barking in the street and sometimes smoky in the room from people burning trash outside. None of that was the fault of the guest house!
