Casa da Talhada - Stone House

Perfecy situated inside the walls of Obidos. The garden was magnificent with amazing views over Őbidos

The house smells slightly damp due to the rock walls.

The gardens , washer AND dryer, room with 2 beds for family

Living room not really the place to hang out but that’s ok not there to hang in living room. Parking difficult if you’re not a walker. Ask to park close to the house (be ready to carry not roll bags) but super short walk from car

The casa is absolutely gorgeous! Lots of antique historical furnishings and stone (bedrock).

A little drafty

So blessed we found this place. We felt like we went back in time. The back walls of the house were carved into the rock. The house was huge, so many rooms. Surrounded by antiques and beautiful furnishings. Royalty once lived here. Two large out door spaces, one was a well manicured garden with amazing views and one was a large terrace also with amazing views. The place was a wonderful experience.

Communication could have been better with the host if he would have provided his cell number from the beginning.

Location was great, right in the centre of Obidos a few steps from the castle. House is very unique, with a beautiful terrace/garden overlooking the village.. We left a bag behind and the owner gratefully left it for us at a station nearby (thanks again!)

When we arrived after check in time there was two ladies in the kitchen, which we found strange. One was the cleaner but they didn't seem in a hurry to leave even though we had arrived. She stayed on the phone atleast 15min after we had arrived. The kitchen and other parts needs updating and cleaning cupboards etc. Plus dont leave food out anywhere cause there is alot of ants and moths.
