The Kanuka Cabin

We loved the location and simplicity of the cabin. Having the hot tub with a view was an added bonus!

No criticisms at all. Wonderful place to stay

The quiet location in the middle of nowhere.

First of all, you book the accommodation for the view, and there is hardly any. The whole valley in front of your cabin is blocked by kanuka trees less than 2m from your terrace. You literally face bushes except for a little small hole. Secondly, the cabin is so small you can't even properly open your luggage in the room. You need to take out the furniture from the room to get a proper table outside if you want to put down your drinks or even have a breakfast on the terrace. The most frustrating part was that nothing has been foreseen for the multitude of mosquitoes. You need to close all windows at night which is very suffocating in such a small space. It would have been nice to hang a mosquito net or something else to counter this

The location was everything we'd hoped for - the quietness, the clean air, the cosy cabin. Our trip was more about exploring the local area (and attending a wedding) so we weren't at the cabin for much of the time. Just a glorious place to sleep and wake up. Having a hire car was perfect, but the cabin would be equally great for those on two wheels. Easy to find (we arrived quite late).

Everything, loved the view. The outdoor shower was amazing. Overall, a great experience.

lovely location looking over farm land. the shower was first class. the bed comfy. enjoyable bubbling away in the spa tub.the host was friendly and welcoming.

the kitchen facilities are limited, but you know that before you book.

The spot of this cabin is amazing, there is a great view and the are is very quiet.

The cabin was so nicely curated and in a lovely spot looking across the valley. Fantastic outdoor shower and hot tub, which made it hard to leave.
