Waterside Shepherds Hut

Unfortunately not for us. Too small. Bed situation tricky for an older couple. Noise from A64 quite loud To be fair, all of these 'problems' would have been clear from the website if I had looked properly.

The hut was located in a beautiful country setting beside a river and trees. Everything we needed was provided ie towels, toilet paper, fairy liquid etc

There was some road noise but it didn’t spoil our stay in any way

It was peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful.

Lovely location and the cabin is really well equipped and comfortable. Would definitely recommend if you fancy staying somewhere a little different!

Would have been good to have a blind on bed window not to be woken up by the early morning sun!

We loved the view of the little lake, and the way it was something different to stay in. It was really clean and tidy and everything was provided, cleaning products too! It was very quiet and noone bothered us either. We had our own parking space

We couldnt connect to the wifi hub as it wasnt found in the hut

Had the most amazing weekend break at the Waterside shepherds hut. Everything was spotless, facilities were spot on and location was perfect! Hosts were brilliant, welcoming and gave us some great tips when traveling into York! We will definitely be returning in the future!

Lovely shepherd's hut, bed was extremely comfy and clean, had a tap and sink along with a single induction hob and microwave for cooking, really good shower aswell, most utensils for cooking provided which was really helpful. We stayed new year so didn't see the hosts when we arrived but the hut was open and ready for us, we seen one of the hosts when we were leaving and they were very pleasant to talk to. Overall a really relaxing and comfortable stay, I would recommend for anyone looking for a local getaway.
