Cosy Country Cottage on a Sunny Hill

It's a magnificent hilltop house with cozy and clean rooms in a peaceful rural area. The host's kind instructions for check-in etc. were quite helpful. Well-equipped facilities are convenient. We will never forget the beautiful sound of rain all through the night and the gorgeous sunrise next morning.

Rien à dire

The location was among beautiful green hills with the sea in the distance. It was close to town. The cottage was well set up...clean, tidy and private.

It was so peaceful and secluded, yet very close to town. The kids loved watching the cows in the paddock across the street. The sunset was stunning. It was very clean and had everything we needed; Michel and May even put out an extra mattress for our 1yo. Thank you!

A few hazards made it a little more of a tricky stay with young children than we had anticipated (unsecured blind cords, troughs/buckets of water). Surprisingly though, they were not interested in the steep bank on one side of the home that we had been warned about!

Het blijft altijd onpersoonlijk als je niemand ziet maar wel online ‘spreekt’. Neemt niet weg dat het huisje heel mooi was. Van de buitendouche en -bad hebben we geen gebruik gemaakt, maar het is wel apart bedacht. De omgeving van Raglan is geweldig. De surfscene zorgt voor een leuke ontspannen sfeer in het dorpje waar veel goede restaurantjes zijn en leuke (originel) winkeltjes. Sla deze plaats niet over!!

In het huisje zelf mist een raam dat je kan openen. Als je een deur opent vliegen er direct allerlei insecten binnen. Een hor zou een perfecte oplossing zijn. En eigenlijk mag dat wel voor het geld, want het verblijf is met 200 euro per nacht niet heel goedkoop. Als je een voorkeur mag opgeven voor een huisje neem dan NIET nummer 30. Daar bevindt zich een steile helling van een gravelroad. Als je een gewone personenauto hebt – dus geen vette 4WD – kan je die beter boven laten staan. Je slipt aan alle kanten weg als je omhoog wilt rijden. Je hebt dus pech als je in huisje 30 wordt ingedeeld.
