Thomas's Catlins Lodge and Camp Ground

Schöne, ruhige Lage. Viel Geschirr und Töpfe/Pfannen zur Verfügung. Sehr nette Hostelkatze.

Insgesamt etwas heruntergekommen, was dem Charme aber kein Abbruch tut. Waschmaschinen etwas antiquiert, funktionieren aber einwandfrei. Heißwasser nur zu begrenzten Zeiten, kann man sich aber drauf einstellen.

Eine alte aber sehr saubere Unterkunft in einem ehemaligen Spital. Hatte Flair. Absolut Zentrumsnahe und sehr amikal.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom in our wing of the lodge was nearby our room and the shower was good. It was a good place to stop on our journey through the Catlins. We had a good check-in experience and the owner made sure we knew about the evening times for the Cathedral Cave for that particular day (we did end up going even though we were initially tired when we checked in - TOTALLY worth it.) There is also a resident cat, and chooks. Pub/restaurant, the supermarket, and the Owaka Tourist Centre & Museum are all within walking distance.

When everyone has arrived, parking close to the Lodge goes first, so if you've gone out and come back late, you will be parking further away along the drive way. Would have like to have spent more time with the cat, but cats answer only to themselves...

Very clean and comfortable. Roomy for three of us. Maybe on the pricey side but absolutely no problems with our stay. Friendly and accomodating staff 👍

The lodge is warmly furnished, with attention to detail. The room itself, and the beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean. The owner was friendly and helped us checking in, even though we came a bit late.

A memorable and very different experience. Bed and room was very clean and beds very comfortable. Easy walk to the tavern for dinner.

The games room was pretty depleted.
