USThe hospitality at Montaña Linda Hostel Orosi was notable, with the hosts being exceptionally friendly and helpful, contributing to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The efficient check-in process was appreciated, and the additional night we stayed speaks volumes about our satisfaction with the accommodation. The social settings in the common areas were inviting, allowing for enjoyable interactions with other guests. The shared kitchen was well-equipped, making self-catering easy and convenient. The presence of pet-friendly amenities and resident animals added a homely feel for animal lovers. The peaceful environment and the proximity to a charming restaurant playing night flute music enhanced the overall serene experience. Additionally, the availability of clean drinking water and multiple restaurants within walking distance were convenient.
The initial confusion regarding the location due to similarly named properties was a slight inconvenience. Clearer signage and directions would have prevented the initial mix-up. Also, one of the bathrooms not having a working water heater was a minor drawback, though it was a manageable issue given the number of other available facilities.

ITIt is a very basic property in a non-touristy town. The price is quite affordable, especially for CR. The common area is quite good.
It is a basic property. There is no breakfast. The kitchen could have been better.
DEIt is an amazing place. It has its own atmosphere, with a nice open kitchen and suggestions on hiking tours in the Orosi Valley. If I am around here again I would definitely come back!
Sometimes I was a bit confused about who was actually working there and who was just a long term guest.
USTwo cats roaming around on the dinning tables, kitchen counter, and chairs. They are not vaccinated, one bit me, got infected, and they just told me to go to the pharmacy. Also, not sure if they are on public or private septic but the bathrooms smell really bad.
