USUSThe owners were brilliant. There was a safe, private, welcoming vibe at all times. Many helpful suggestions for places to visit. Hot tub on new years eve was delightful. Rafa helped with transfers. My friend is 81years old and I both loved Orosi. There is a swimming pool next door for 8 dollars a day. Grocery store close by. Bank close by. We hope to return one day.

I had been driving for several hours and was relieved to be arriving at my hotel. The area didn't seem great, lots of tall fences and bars on windows on all the buildings. When I got to the location, there was a ring doorbell. A couple came out to talk to me. They had me show me the reservation on my phone and even then wouldn't open the gate. I get it's for their safety but it made me scared for the whole thing. They said I was not at the hotel, but at the hostel a little down the road. I didn't feel safe, so I no showed and found a pull off a few km out of town to sleep in my car. I felt safer doing that. I get no showing is not nice, but I didn't feel safe about the whole thing. I wasn't able to get an international data plan on my phone to work, so I couldn't contact this hotel to cancel or other hotels. The next day, "The Hill" hotel up the road just outside of Tapanti was extremely nice and helped me buy a ticket to the national park (since it is online and I didn't have internet), despite me not being a paid guest. If you are traveling in the area, spend the extra money and stay there and be sure of your safety!

The dorm smelled a lot (humidity) so all your clothes were the same if you leave them out of your bag The room should be cleaned because there are spiders and dust under the beds… finally, the mattresses could be changed because they have been enough used
NLI liked Sarah so much, such a sweet host with lots of creative ideas and vision for young backpackers. Great location; lush green mountain and a lot of activities in the area.
