"Perfect stay on river"

Fantastic family run guesthouse on less popular island on 4000 islands location on Mekong. You can go to boat tour on Mekong and have cooking lesson with hosts. They are extremly nice and helpful. Food is great. If you are searching something off beaten path - this is the place

Sander and Tanoi are amazing hosts. The food is excellent. The view of the river and small islands is fantastic. The hosts proactively reached out to me and arranged Tuk Tuk and a local boat in the evening - I would've struggled if they didn't do it. Laundry service was quick. They even arranged a motorcycle for my trip to Don Det and Don Khon. I loved their hammocks. The villagers around the property are very friendly too. Highly recommended!

This place is absolutely amazing, located in a really quiet and beautiful island. If you want to rest and chill, it is the perfect place. Great food ! Sander as all the good advices for you, really helpful :)

"Don Som don't change - stay genuine"

A little gem on a really beautiful and quiet island. After travelling to Don Det and Don Khon we regret we to these two island. Should have stayed some more nights at Sanders and Tanois place instead We can recommend Don Som and Don Som Riverside for those people who wants a laid back place. Boat leaving from Khinak A lot of knowledge about the area and english spoken fluently! You can also get in touch with them before booking. Quick answering! 🙏🏼Thanks🙏🏼

II is awesome. A little paradise. Sanders, Tanoi and all are very nice persons. Everything is perfect, bungalow, food ...is à very nice place to understand an authentic Laos . Sanders and Tanoi are full of informations about Don Som and Laos. Is not easy to quite this place cause is à dream. For relaxing or understanding àn authentic Laos, you need to go there

"Perfect silence retreat location in unspoilt Laos."

Perfect tranquility, all you can hear is the water in the river…everything spotlessly clean. Great food and accommodating my vegetarian choices… lovely hosts and staff… just perfect to relax and rejuvenate.. rent a moped and go around the local island. Get the ferry to neighbor islands…
