Toad Hall Hostel

I have used this hostel several times now as my hobby is local to the area. For £30 you cannot beat it. You get your own room with key (unlike some other other hostels). Perfect for hikers, mountain bikers and backpackers

Quirky characterful home from home. Easy walk to Museum and NISA shop on doorstep. Lovely views of mountains. Small kitchen with large fridge/freezer. Comfortable sitting room chairs in relaxed visually interesting shared recreational area. Stayin alive!

Mattress has seen better days but clean and tidy. (Nice duvet and pillows.)Railway nearby with consequent rail noise but on the plus side easy to use rail transport.

Great location close to the station and a short walk from town. Excellent value

Very basic old style hostel

Great location. Quiet at night. Easy walk to the centre. Simple and functional no frills accommodation ideal for outdoor types. Good hot shower. Lovely old building. The interesting collection of stuff. Locks on rooms. Relaxed atmosphere and used furniture.

There is just one shared toilet & shower room.

Place was very rustic and unique. I liked all the random bits and bobs they had lying around.

The pillows where really thin.

Good price, clean and a comfortable bed. Interesting place and a good location for Southern Snowdonia. Only stayed one night, but had a great walk in the hills and forests on the out skirts of Machynlleth.
