The 1964 Holiday bungalow

The service was exceptional, the view is beautiful, the owner and staff are very kind, and the food tastes good!

Lovely guesthouse run by Amil. He was kind enough to pick me from railway station as the property was slightly away from Ella town. He also took me around to a few places nearby since the Tuk Tuks werent that reliable. The guesthouse was one of my favorites in Sri Lanka. It had a very homey feel to it. I loved spending time on the Hammock while the sunsets. They went out of their way to prepare Parota and Potato Veggies since I mentioned that I didnt want to eat Kottu or Hoppers. Shoutout to Mangala for giving me company and sharing more about Sri Lanka.

Such a beautiful spot in the hills above Ella with a wonderful terrace where you can relax, read, eat, hang out. Near to various hikes and not too far from the town - 30 min walk or 10 min car/tuk tuk. The kitchen dishes up delicious food!

Idéal for a quiet place to stay in a busy area. Only 10' minutes away from town but completely peaceful. The food was fine and we slept well.

The owner is very friendly

There is only one socket it the room, the room is very small, no real window, no privacy, as the door is very thin and all doors open to same area and restaurant. Very far away from Ella, but if you walk 3 km, you can reach the trail to Small Adam peak. I don’t understand why the hotel has very high reviews

Everything was amazing...The hosts are so nice persons, the location, totally in the jungle with a beautifull view...Food was great! Perfect choice is you are looking for nature, peace, relax

An overall great place for the price! The owner was very friendly and helpful. He helps with directions and finding your way around. The food was great. The view was great from where we were, you're surrounded by trees and tea bushes It's a little far from the city. But we had rented bikes, so it was the perfect combination. The drive up is nice and the road is great. Even if you don't have your own transport, the owner can arrange for transport from the city.

When I first arrived to the bungalow late at night I was worried it was too far from the main village but when I woke up and saw the view I was in love 🤩 and so happy I chose to stay there, it's so peaceful and I didn't feel the need to leave much I just had a really nice time chilling and relaxing around the beautiful nature, the food is also some of the best I've had in Sri Lanka, the breakfast is delicious, the chef is very talented and all the staff are so friendly I'd definitely recommend it to everyone and it's such good value as well. Thanks for having me 🙏💚
