Bathrooms and kitchen could have been cleaner. Also, one of the fans wasn't working.

Gaurav is truly an amazing host! I had the best time both at the hostel and the safari! I totally recommend coming here!

We had such a good experience here! Gaurav went above and beyond all of our expectations…his home cooked food is some of the best that we’ve had in India! He also upgraded us to the private room for no extra charge, made sure we got on the right public bus to our next destination (and made sure we got seats!!), and overall just took such good care of us :) We came here to do the leopard safari and we definitely chose the right guys to do it with! They did everything they could to make sure we got to spot a leopard once the sun went down. We also got a sneaky close up viewing once all the other tourists had left; once in a lifetime experience!! Cannot recommend this place enough, we left feeling super happy and satisfied with our experience <3

We had a wonderful stay at the backpackers Hostel. We stayed in the seperate bedroom which smelled really clean and had more than everything we need. Besides that we got an amazing home cooked paneer butter masala on the cosy terras and a nicely set up local breakfast. The host was really kind and super helpful. With him we also did a tour through the safari. We saw crocodiles, buffalos, so many birds, the farmers guiding their sheep and goats through it all and two léopards! And all from up close! He made a lot of effort in the search and to guide our eyes to the right spots! We more than certainly recommend this place!

The gentleman who owns the property offered a free upgrade. Gaurav is really good and sensible host who ensured comfort in every moment of the stay. Also, went extramile to help me in booking and catching the bus to Gurgaon. A good naturalist as well and helped with some amazing leopard sighting. Kudos 👏

I have nothing to say special. As said in the other reviews Gaurav was so hospitable and made my stay an incredible one . No one was there in the property when I stayed there. So he shown me the city of Sumerpur, jawai dam, even village tour in 2 wheeler . He shown me his village , his family and the experience there was just wow . Coming to the safari , it was my bad luck . The whole jawai was in fog but he made me spot a leopard . He made me use the room since no one was there . His panner butter masala was just wow . I definitely recommend this place for a stay.

Gaurav is a fabulous host. Knowledgeable, widely respected, well networked, and a humble guy. You will discover a friend in him.. He goes the extra mile to make your stay and safari experience worthy. He is a fabulous coo, too. Be it a solo backpacker like me or a group or family, you can absolutely rely on him. I recommend the place and the host, and I m sure your visit will be worthwhile...

Hostel is very for solo travelers and for a couple who want to stay near Jawai . The stay is very close to the Jawai lepord sanctuary and the owner will arrange for the Jeep safari and he will try the level best to make the sightings
