El Sunset Hostel

Sweet and super affordable hostel. The guy who runs it is really nice, helpful, and accommodating. The kitchen had everything I needed. Beds could have been more comfortable in the dorm but had a fan for my bed and had good sleeps. Good location right beside the beach and a main bus stop right beside it as well. Access to a roof top was a good place to watch the sunrise and do some yoga!

I wish there was a designated smoker’s area away from the kitchen and main hangout place. There was a chain smoker staying there and every time he lit one I felt the need to move. I avoided the hammock anytime he was down there and wished I could have chilled without breathing in that crap. That’s all :)

Marco is a great host, very friendly, up for a good chat and always happy to help. The rooftop has a beautiful view and the kitchen is well equipped. Plus, Vikingo is a hero.

There's no pool :D which is okay, just confusing. The toilets were often clogged, and it could have been a little cleaner, but that's just my OCD potentially - AND I've definitely seen lots worse. And like I said, Marco is always happy to fix/help out/accommodate whatever need anyone has, which makes up for everything.

not many hostels in the area so it catered for our needs and had a laid back atmosphere which we liked
