Beautiful island

Very average food when available??? No food to be had from 2 pm until 5 pm . Bistro had 2 muffins and a bowl of fruit to offer and the little shop was closed. They tell you that you cannot bring your own snacks with you , what a joke . 🙄

The unit is spacious

The decor is dated and pretty basic. I was not informed that it was an upstairs unit. I’d prefer a one storey unit if I were given a choice.

Location

Run down needs freshen up and thorough clean

Location, location, location. Excellent snorkeling from the beach over the coral on a higher tide or the harbour around the wreck early morning or afternoon for more chances of seeing lemon sharks, rays and turtles. The staff tours which included turtle afternoon hatching, excellent astronomy / night sky talk, rainforest and bird walks were quite well presented by the staff who were quite knowledgeable. The staff were always polite and quite helpful. The rooms were very clean, serviced every 2 days during our stay and the bed was very comfortable. The food was okay with buffet breakfast and dinner during our stay. Definitely stay again.

The internet in our room was poor which we weren’t informed of before we purchased for $7/day. The internet password would expire before we got back to our room which was weird seeing our phones would be turned off. Staff would sort out the internet promptly and provide us with a new code whenever we had issues. Need to book dinner for time slots though no menu for dinner is provided until late afternoon.

Resort & food excellent, especially as so remote. The free educational talks & tours were excellent and an unexpected bonus.
