Melasti Beach Resort & Spa Legian

The location of my room was excellent, the room was large, and I was happy with the size. Although outdated, the beds weren't nearly unbearable. The mattress was so hard and uncomfortable that I had to place 2 blankets on top of the mattress to try to soften it. The main pool was a disgrace, with dirt, slimy, broken tiles

We recently stayed here as a family of six with young children and overall had a really lovely holiday. Yes, the resort is definitely a little older and more dated compared to some newer places, but once we settled in, it honestly didn’t bother us as much as we expected. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and worked really well for our family setup, which can actually be hard to find when travelling with multiple children. The location was absolutely fantastic — everything we needed was within arm’s reach, which made travelling with kids so much easier and more enjoyable. The staff were also amazing throughout our stay; always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. While the breakfast unfortunately wasn’t a highlight for us, all of the other facilities still met our needs well. We found ourselves quickly overlooking the older facade and simply enjoying quality family time together in a relaxed environment. We enjoyed our stay enough that we’ve already booked again for another holiday, which probably says the most. If you’re looking for ultra-modern luxury this may not be the place for you, but if you value space, convenience, wonderful staff, and a family-friendly atmosphere in a great location, it’s definitely worth considering.

The main area we felt could use some improvement was the breakfast, as we found the quality and variety a little underwhelming compared to the rest of our experience. We also noticed there were some sharp or damaged tiles around the pool area that may need maintenance, as our younger child unfortunately cut her foot during our stay. Aside from this, we still really enjoyed our holiday and appreciated the friendly staff and great location.
