Nothing special as opposed to any property in Kerala, The location was good, the ambience was optimal around the in and around the property. The only advantage of the property is the greenery & fishing/lake experience. The premises was clean & well maintained.

The food was substandard. The room smelled of mold. The staff were inconsiderate and rude when it came to requests made for children. Stale food was provided which from the texture was evident that it was re-heated and served as opposed to being cooked fresh. Absolutely not worth the money spent. The experience was so bad that I decided to check out in less than 18 hours which was much earlier than intended. Milk provided for the child was made from dairy powder, the lassi was made from fermented (stale) yogurt/curd.

Selected a pool room which gave us a small private pool linking up with the main pool, which was great. Accommodation spaced out and enjoyed walking through the well-kept gardens All the staff were brilliant and really eager to help with anything.

The outdoor chairs at the room weren’t great and, for us, loungers would have been better even though they would never be in the sun. The bedroom was upstairs, conflicting with age and visiting the downstairs bathroom during the night. This did seem to be a destination hotel for group bookings holding private functions which meant that the restaurant was very quiet when we were there. However, the food was good. There was no bar or other obvious communal area for guests to relax and no comfort in the rooms other than the beds.
