Room - we had the Vata room and it was spacious, brightly lit, clean, and very comfortable. Having the private pool was also very nice as we could take a quick dip in the hot afternoons. Service - I cannot say enough about the service, which was probably one of the best of all the places I’ve stayed. The staff were knowledgeable, super warm, and attentive without being intrusive. Somehow, every time I left the room, I would come back to it cleaned and reorganized. Just fantastic service all around. Facilities - the view from the dining / lounge area is great with good views of rice paddies and wildlife. You can see a lot of different birds during the day. The spa is also great and very convenient, we never had trouble getting an appointment. Food - the food is fantastic, portions are generous, and reasonably priced. Breakfast, which is complementary, was a highlight. Food is cooked fresh and everything is made in-house (including the bread and jams which are must tries). Overall, can’t say enough good things about my experience here and I will be staying here whenever I’m next back in Bali.

This property is amazing. The location, views and landscaping are all gorgeous. We wanted to stay in a villa but wanted resort amenities and Uma Kalai did not disappoint. They have a full restaurant and bar that serves food all day/night, peaceful lounge areas, a wonderful spa (the massages were great) and even shuttle to take you to Ubud center. The staff are attentive and polite, every request was handled immediately. After a few days, we started to feel at home. A special shout out to Gusti and Ami who really went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special, thank you!!

small room, situated next to the restaurant, and next to yoga class at 6:30 am. I missed the spaciousness and privacy of what should be expected for that price.

Food and staff at this resort are next level good, everyone from manager to receptionist to butler to housekeeping to wait staff go above and beyond, best nasi goreng I have ever had, margaritas were the best we had in Bali! Not sure if the location is great, as it seems you need to travel no matter were you go in Bali , we did an all day rice field/waterfall tour from this resort
