The rooms has a good decor and nice outdoor space and area altogether

Food was terrible and the service not so great also. Considering that this is a getaway resort, the expectation is to have good food, but neither the breakfast nor dinner were good. Most of the staff didn't speak English, nor did they speak the local language, so made communication difficult. The person at the front desk was not professional or service forward. Also would have been nice to have snacks / food at the room (for such a high rate, should be included in room rates). All in all, really bad value for the money.

Dear Machaan staff We would like to express our satisfaction following our stay in Machaan last week. Not only the place is fabulous, in the middle of a coffee plantation, but the tents are incredibly comfortable, and the food is very nice. We particularly appreciated the nature walks, the bird watching, the night insects hunt, with Mr Shreyas and Mr Gautam who are both extremely knowledgeable and made our stay a real learning experience. On top of this the nature sessions allow you to meet other guests and atmosphere is very friendly. Thanks to all and to the staff!

Great personnel, authenticity of the place, attentive guides happy to share wild life knowledge. Night time and early morning animal voices are just the perfect soundtrack. Great local dishes with fresh ingredients, simple but superbly executed.

NTR

- We stayed in one of the tents at the property - such an incredible experience! It was beautiful, spacious, and had stunning views from the private balcony, overlooking beautiful jungle without a building in sight! - The bed/pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom and shower were great, the balcony had a small jacuzzi (which we only enjoyed cold due to the heat outside. A fantastic way to cool down in the afternoon!) and A/C was excellent - Gowtham, the host/in-house naturalist, was incredible. Always available when we needed him, friendly, knowledgable and chatty. He took us on night walks of the site to see the flora and fauna on the property. You can tell he’s very passionate and also offered bird watching and other activities (which we unfortunately didn’t have time to do). - Location was very close (10 min drive) to the safari starting point. If you do not have a driver, Machaan will organise one for you. - Breakfast was lovely, big plates of fruit, toast, omelettes, chicken sausage and many Indian delights I can’t remember the name of This was an incredibly relaxing and beautiful stay and a highlight of our India trip!

Communal pool could perhaps have been better kept, but we visited during the week, in off season, and were one of only a couple of guests so perhaps this is different at different times of year

The yurt was everything we had expected and hoped for. The catering staff were friendly.

Reception staff were unfriendly. The advertised hot-tub with our yurt was empty, we had to call reception to set it up which took several hours, it leaked and never reached temperature. The pump/heater kept tripping out. The internet was unreliable causing us to miss our driver for the morning safari, incurring extra cost. We went on a guided walk of the property to observe the flora and fauna, but had a bad reaction to a sting, requiring medication and were told that there was no doctor or medication on site and that the nearest doctor was about 60km distant!
