Swiss Inn Resort Hurghada

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand I have very good feelings about this hotel. + the hotel is very clean. Staff trying their best to keep us happy. They are relly kind and respectful. + Food - u can find everyday something to eat. Everything is delicious and fresh. Furthermore, u can eat in reception area and also on the beach + room is clean and comfortable. We have pool view. I’m really grateful for housekeepers, who making our room everyday clean. The most disappointing part of this hotel is animation team. They are doing activities, but also they are doing nothing whole day. At morning just 2 activities - stretching and after that pool party or something like that - they just dropped pontoons and all of them disappeared. Afternoon also just 2 activities. They are walking around like ghosts. It’s not my first time in Egypt and If I compare it with other places, here it’s really bad (Should I say it’s the worst experience of entertainment)

- How the staff approaches people. Somehow I got the green band, even though I chose the ALL inclusive in Booking, but later I found out that there are GREY and GREEN all inclusive bands. And the GREY one is real ALL inclusive, while the GREEN is "without alcohol", which pissed me off because I wanted to have nice vacation during my stay. This was not mentioned in Booking details. Apart of that, staff treat you so BAD when they see that you have GREEN band - they assume you are airplane worker and they can be impolite with you. Sometimes staff was very rude. - Water on the beach. There were 2 days when people could NOT swim in the sea because it was stinking with technical OIL. Some guests found out that on the pier where the boats are parked - there was a guy fixing the engine right on the water. And since hotel beach is in the bay - water stay long and does not go further. It was 2 days stinking there! We could smell it, feel it on the skin and even see it on the surface of water.

Nothing special

Many rules. This hotel staff trick people to the money! They give you something and after want that they want money. They sell glass of wine at price for the bottle of wine!

This resort is incredible and an example of how a resort should be run. The grounds and building are clean and beautiful, the beach is great, the food is amazing and the staff are fantastic. The best experience I’ve had in Egypt by far. I was beginning to wonder if they knew what 5 start meant here and this place is a proof that they do. There are also many shops on the strip outside the hotel. I would absolutely come back here and recommend it to anyone interested. Keep up the great work and thanks for making our stay so memorable.

Stayed here for 5 nights with my wife to relax after a Nile cruise. Was overall a good experience but as usual, there were positives and sone negatives. Positives first. 1. The hotel was clean and well maintained. 2. The room we had was large, with a good bathroom, and a sea view. 3. The staff were all great, with a special shout out to the barmen of the pool bar, who would bring you drinks without having to be asked. 4. The pools were a nice temperature, and the area was always kept clean. I also lojed the fact that one pool was set up for kids, which left the other for us adults. 5. Great service at the hotels private beach, and we never had a problem getting a sunbed. Now a few negatives. 1. The food in general wasn't of the best best quality, and was pretty repetitive. Usually consisted of a beef stew that was called different names, some very boney chicken dishes, and various vegetable stuff. The cakes were very good though. 2. We ate in the Lebanese restaurant once, but were put off because wild birds were eating from the large spoons that are used to put the food from the buffet onto your plates. Not at all hygienic. 3. When you are trying to relax by the pool or on the beach, you are constantly hassled by people selling massages, boat trips, and beauty treatments. This gets pretty annoying. 4. When at the beach, the entertainment staff will suddenly start blaring out tacky dance music at very high volumes. It was almost like they were in competition with the neighbouring hotel over who could be the loudest. We left the beach at one point because it was no longer relaxing. In general this is a nice hotel, that could be brilliant if a couple of things could be improved.

Good location, but hotel needs serious renovation The location of the hotel is good, but we were disappointed with our stay overall. The hotel is in urgent need of renovation. The shower was full of mold, which is not hygienic at all. In terms of drinks, only soft drinks are included. Alcoholic drinks must be paid for separately, even though this was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process. This feels misleading. Overall: good location, but poor hotel condition and lack of clear information. We would not stay here again.

Hard beds. Old, stained bathtub. Towels were terrible.
