Amada Colossos Resort

The Amada Colossos Resort was amazing! Everything from staff, to the location, cleanliness, the food and the rooms was just outstanding.This resort is situated a good distance from the airport and is right on the beach which is a bonus.For the cost of a 7 night holiday here, we for sure got our moneys worth with all aspects.On arrival, we were greeted by friendly porters at the entrance, who took our luggage and escorted us to the reception to check in.Check in was simple and easy and the reception staff were especially helpful.Once checked in we were shown to our room on the 3rd floor which had the best sea/beach view.The food was incredible and far better than most typical all inclusive buffet foods.The food was fresh and hot with amazing flavour and we especially liked the addition of the themed nights in the main restaurant(Especially the Mexican!).The snack bars situated around the resort had a variety of foods and was quick service.Waiters were always on it with drinks and the clearing of plates.The al a carte restaurants we visited included the Asian,Italian and Greek and all three we didn’t have a single bad word to say.The waiters worked tirelessly to give you the best experience and the food was huge portions and very flavourful.The only thing that was slightly annoying was snacks ended at 00:00 meaning after a late night drink when the cocktail bar shuts at 01:00 and you craved food, you were left with no options other then to order food from outside the resort.The bartenders at both the adults only swim up bar and family bar were always friendly and would even prepare new drinks before you even asked.The drinks were both branded and unbranded alcohol and didn’t seem to be watered down like many places.Special shoutout to the bartenders who run the family bar in the evening!The Tropicana bar was nice to be able to have an alcoholic drink in a glass,although service was slow.I had read a lot of reviews about issues with sunbeds and although the removal of belongings policy was clearly not being followed,we always managed to get a sunbed,whether that was poolside or on the beach.All day every day cleaners would be working hard to keep both outside and inside of the hotel spotless.The shops in the hotel are a great addition and good value for money.We visited the Old town one day and was able to catch the KTEL Bus from outside the hotel entrance for just €2.50 each way.Entertainment in the evenings was okay however there could’ve been more music/entertainment around the family bar each night which is where a lot of people spent their evenings.The guest relations team were helpful with booking restaurants and answering any questions we had during our stay.This hotel is good value for money and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.Thank you to everyone at the Amada Colossos Resort!

I stayed here with my wife and our two children (aged 8 and 9) from 23rd–30th May, in a Family Sea View Room (6110). Overall, we had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed our stay. While I personally wouldn’t class it as a true 5-star hotel, it’s certainly a very good 4-star property. What We Liked Excellent location The hotel is in a fantastic location. It’s only around €10 by taxi to Faliraki and approximately €20 to Rhodes Old Town, both of which are well worth visiting for different reasons. The Faliraki Water Park is just a 10-minute walk away and was one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed it so much that we visited twice during the week. Even though it was half-term, we barely queued for any slides. Room Our family sea view room was comfortable, clean, and spacious enough for the four of us. The beds were comfortable, and although the TV wasn’t working during our stay, it didn’t affect our holiday as we weren’t planning to use it much anyway. Food & Drink The food and drinks were generally very good. While the buffet could have offered a little more variety on some days, there was always something enjoyable to eat. The Italian à la carte restaurant was particularly nice and provided a welcome change. Pools & Water Park The on-site water park was great fun for both adults and children, and we spent plenty of time enjoying the pools throughout the week. Entertainment & Staff The evening entertainment was what you’d typically expect from a family resort, with singing, dancing, and live performances. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, especially with our children, which was appreciated. Areas for Improvement Sunbed Availability The biggest issue during our stay was the availability of sunbeds. Despite the hotel’s stated policy against reserving them, many guests placed towels out very early in the morning, meaning that by the time most families arrived at the pool, very few beds were available. Unfortunately, our experience with the manager wasn’t particularly positive. When we attempted to do what many other guests were doing, my wife was spoken to quite abruptly and told not to reserve a bed, despite others appearing to do so without challenge. It felt inconsistent and left a poor impression. It’s a shame because the rest of the staff were excellent. If the hotel is operating at full capacity, additional sunbeds or stricter enforcement of the policy would make a significant difference. On-Site Water Park The water park itself is great fun, but there are a couple of things worth knowing before you arrive. Sunbeds fill up very quickly, so arriving early is essential if you want one. Also, only one slide seems to operate at a time, which can be frustrating during busier periods. It’s also worth noting that the age and height restrictions (10 years old and 120cm minimum) are enforced, so families with younger children should be aware of this before visiting. Family Focus Compared with other 5-star family resorts we’ve stayed at, this hotel felt slightly more geared towards adults. Families are certainly welcome, but there seemed to be fewer activities and facilities specifically aimed at younger children than we have experienced elsewhere. Final Thoughts Rhodes is a beautiful island, and we had a wonderful holiday overall. There are many things this hotel does well, particularly its location, friendly staff, and overall atmosphere. Would we return to Rhodes? Absolutely. Would we stay at this hotel again? Possibly, but we’d probably look at some of the nearby family-focused hotels first, particularly those with more facilities for children and better sunbed availability.

We had a wonderful stay at Amada Colossos Resort. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the facilities were excellent, and the overall service exceeded our expectations. What truly made our stay special was the kindness and professionalism of the staff. We would especially like to thank Sous Maître and Mr. Pantios Vasilis from the main restaurant. They were always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. Traveling with two children and a baby can sometimes be challenging, but they went above and beyond to make our family feel comfortable. They were constantly attentive to our children’s and baby’s needs, offering assistance whenever needed and showing sincere care and kindness throughout our stay. Their warm attitude made a real difference and helped us enjoy a relaxing and memorable vacation. A special mention goes to Vasilis, whose great sense of humor always brought a smile to our faces and made every visit to the restaurant even more enjoyable. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Just returned after a week here, great points the hotel is spotless and very clean staff are super lovely and friendly. Food is ok, we visited the Al a carte restaurants which too were ok but similar food to buffet. The main down side for us as a family with older teenage daughter was the fight to find a sun bed each morning. There just is not enough and I got up each day at 6am to ensure we had some were by the pool. The beach is lovely but quite pebbly but too sun beds were gone early in the day. Is a real shame as spoilt what is otherwise a lovely resort.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very helpful, particularly Iliana, Lirini and Athina on the customer service/concierge desks. Their willingness to help with any situation was second to none. The food was excellent with daily changes and the chefs went out of their way to make sure you were happy. The restaurant staff were attentive and courteous. Pan on reception was also very helpful The room was spotless and very quiet at night with heavy soundproof doors

Hatten eine tolle Zeit. Hotel ist top ausgestattet. Essen war grandios und das Personal ein Traum. Sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Lage ist sehr schön. Strand war sehr sauber. Empfehlen es weiter.

Fenster nach draußen leider nicht Schall dicht. Wir konnten jedes Gespräch im Pool Bereich hören. Wenn es abends laut wurde hat es unseren Schlaf gestört.
