Amada Colossos Resort

Our holiday at the Amada Colossos Resort was one to remember! The hotel itself has some much to offer from the waterpark, countless bars and restaurants, shop and excellent rooms. All of the hotel and bar staff were fantastic and attentive, however for us the stand outs were the entertainment in particular Michal and Beata! They made all of the day time activities unmissable alongside their spectacular performances in the evening shows, not only that but they are now friends for life! The a la carte restaurants are a must visit during your stay as they are exceptional! The main buffet restaurant was also really good with theme nights, the Mexican on Saturday is one not be missed. The sea view rooms have an incredible view of the sunrise with a beautiful view of the moon light shining over the ocean come the evening! Would highly recommend this hotel to both families and couples as it caters to all, we will definitely be returning in the future!

We were in this hotel for the second time (we spent 14 days here in 9/2024) and we were delighted again. Top service and incredibly friendly and helpful staff, especially the waiters Anna, Georgeus, Poly and Maria. Everything was great! We would love to come back! Thank you and see you soon! :-)

We are a family of 7 and have just returned home from our 4th stay at this amazing hotel. This is a hotel that caters for everyone - we were a family of 3 generations and this hotel has everything - the beach, pool and waterpark. Cleanliness The cleanliness throughout the hotel was second to none, from the rooms to the pool area which were spotlessly cleaned and hosed down every morning. Rooms We had 3 rooms and requested these be close together prior to our arrival. We were all on the same floor and the 3 rooms were actually next to each other. Rooms were very comfortable. The air con seemed better than previous years and did actually keep the room cool. Sunbeds We preferred to sit on the beach and there was never an issue obtaining a sunbed on the beach everyday. I enjoyed my daily chats with Dimitrius as I passed the towel station each day and his colleague who looked after the beach (even if my Greek wasn’t up to much! Main Restaurant The service we received in the restaurant every day was first class. The welcome we received each day from hostess Panagiota on the podium as we entered, who always remembered our room numbers. Andreas, Captains Maria and Polli were amazing and looked after us incredibly well every day. The brilliant Chef catering for the numbers in the hotel with the selections, quality and quantity each day was second to none. Special thanks must go to Karina who looked after us practically every evening in the outdoor seating area, nothing was too much trouble for her and drinks appeared at mealtimes sometimes even before we had asked! Thank you to the whole amazing restaurant team you are fantastic Beach Bar Special thanks must go to the two brothers at the ‘beach bar’ with their lovely welcoming smiles every day, who knew what drinks were required before asking and which were practically ready for me as I approached the bar - with the lemons in the drinks of course!!!! Sometimes there was a queue but it was dealt with very quickly and I never waited more than a couple of minutes. Family Bar The ‘family bar’ with Ibrahim was amazing when we sat for a drink before our evening meal. Drinks were being poured as we approached the bar area and actually brought over to our table on most occasions. Thank you to Ritamma and the taller man for delivering the drinks with a smile. Adult Bar The lovely ladies and man serving in the ‘adult bar’ again are a credit to your hotel and looked after us every evening. There was live music most nights which was enjoyable. It was lovely to see Toto back in the adult pool bar as well! Reception Again the reception staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and happy to assist. Panagiota as usual was amazing and managed to sort out a room and a courtesy room on our last day, so we were able to make the most of our last day, Thank you We couldn’t believe how many staff recognised us from previous years and looked after us again. First impressions of the hotel were to a good standard. After check-in bags were dropped to the room all fine. After the first day using the water park we were a tag confused why only one of the 4 slides were in operation. This seems to be the norm only operating one slide at anytime. Then followed by the evening buffet the food were very good great selection as per any all inclusive buffet so nothing really too special. The hotel is kept very clean consistently throughout. Next onto towels you can only get towels at 10am everyday swapped over for fresh ones. The sunbed scenario is horrendous you will never be able to get a lot get after 7.30 am. We went to a few of the a la cartes the Asian one were tasty and plenty of food. As for the Italian I've never met such a rude manager in all my life we booked it through reception as due to being a large group we all wanted to sit together after this when we went to the resteraunt we were told we are putting him in a bad situation and that it's not his issue and that we would all have to sit separately. We then explained that we booked at reception for this reason and he said take it up with guest relations and turned his back on us. Next the Spa my wife went for a massage and found it to be the worst massage she has ever received not going into too much detail on this. Overall I would definitely say that we won't be returning the entertainment was mediocre if your child is 10 or above there is nothing for them to do at this hotel what so ever. Definitely not a 5 star. When you call guest reactions that attitude is disgusting. No tea and coffee refilled in the rooms daily. I could go on... I would definitely recommend doing deeper research before booking your hotel in Rhodes. Some poor people even had their bags stolen on their last day of departure. One thing to mention Dimitrious from the Italian restaurant is the friendliest waiter and offered nothing but a warm and friendly experience and his customer service is incredible. Food 6 /10 Hotel cleanliness 10/10 Customer service 3/10 All round experience 2/10

We stayed at Amada Colossos Resort two weeks ago, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. The entire stay was incredibly relaxing, and we truly appreciated the excellent service and warm hospitality. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was welcoming and comfortable. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful and friendly. Room service was perfect, and the service at the adults-only pool bar really stood out—top-notch! The lobby bar staff (open from 18:00) also provided fantastic service every evening. We’re very happy we chose this hotel again for our holiday, and we’ll definitely recommend it to others.

After reading recent reviews I was very worried before went her and in all honesty I shouldn't have. We didn't arrive until around 1am as our flight was delayed. Check in was easy and our cases were taken to our room. We were ungraded to a family sea view room which was beautiful. There was plenty of space for us all and lots of storage for our belongings. The bathroom situation is weird, with glass doors to the toilet and shower so no privacy. Our room was cleaned daily and to a high standard. fresh towels and 2 bottles of water always left. The food at the hotel is very good to be honest. Lots of choice available. I especially liked the fact that if you have a food allergy and go to the main restaurant, a member of staff goes around with you and explains what you can and cannot eat. I also liked that you were taken to a table not expected to find one, this service works really well. The outside area of the hotel are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. The pool was lovely and never too busy. There is a rule that if you leave your sun lounger before 9am your things will be removed. The man around the pool made this clear to lots of people every morning. The waterpark had lots of lounger available all day and the snack bar in that area Is handy. Not all slides are open at the same time but this wasn't an issue for us. The beach is ok mainly made up of fine stones not sand. The sea was lovely and clear and the temperature was perfect. The beach snack bar has a good selection for lunch along with icecreams and crepes. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating and also took care of people with allergies. The one thing that let's this hotel down is its entertainment in the evenings. There is not much going on for adults and the children's mini disco was very disappointing. We seen a micheal Jackson tribute one night and it was really poor. If you've booked to come here and are being put of by negative reviews, dont be. Its a wonderful hotel and I would certainly recommend it. We would love to go back. Have a great time!

This was our second trip to this hotel as we absolutely loved all it had to offer. Unfortunately my Mums safe was robbed on our last night and all of her jewellery was stolen, along with cash. Diamond rings, a pendant from my great grandmother that was 140 years old, so many irreplaceable pieces. Although the staff dealt with it well and the police were involved. I will never return knowing someone had access to the rooms, 7 other rooms had their safe raided too. And we were offered no compensation for the stress and missing out on our last day there.

This hotel exceeded our expectations, particularly after a couple of summers in Turkey 5* hotels which were mixed. In all honesty it didn't feel like 5* luxe, just a high standard family hotel - with calm classiness rather than loud brashness. We would definitely recommend it to friends. Customer service clearly mattered and the minor problems we encountered were dealt with very quickly. All staff were friendly yet super professional throughout all areas. As the twins are now 15 we ended up in 2 double mountain view rooms which I was dreading, but the rooms were roomy enough and had loads of storage (nowhere near enough hangers though). They had little fridges always stocked with bottled water, and sandwiches and fruit for arrival were a nice welcome for our late check in (although labelled as to contents would have been even better). Plenty of sockets, a hairdryer, shampoo and soap, free safe although no iron. We were near a bus stop although went on a private trip to Lindos which picked up directly from the hotel, and a boat from the beach to Rhodes. Car hire directly available at the hotel if required and plenty of car park spaces. Restaurants and food was overall excellent and varied, tonnes of quality fresh and properly cooked food, not much frozen or processed junk. Even desserts were varied and quality not the same gelatinous coloured stuff some serve. We never had to wait for a table, the system of greeting and allocating a table worked very well. We loved the calm and relative quietness of the adult area (which the twins were allowed in to eat). I appreciated the attempts at being sustainable, the reusable cups, recycling bins, paper straws, refillable toiletries. The swimming pools were clean, well maintained and slides fun, especially the lazy river to cool down on a hot day. Floats are allowed in the pools. The lifeguards were good, and plenty of very clean, always well stocked toilets close by. The beach had inflatable course (€10 ppph) and watersports a very close walk away. The minor picky niggles I had were: -no handrails on most steps which made me very anxious, particularly as people were going down many marble type steps to toilets or other pool areas with wet feet. I slipped twice and saw other adults and children slip, so I cannot understand why handrails weren't present. -the pingpong table bats were incredibly tired -could have had a few more yellow rings, as once being used for the orange slide there were none for the lazy river (only lasted an hour each day so very minor) -entertainment wasn't particularly good apart from Greatest Showman. It felt low budget school production most evenings. (Musicians were excellent dotted around elsewhere). -although I loved and appreciated the dedicated vegetarian and plant based areas labelling of other items wasn't clear. Allergens were on, but not if it was vegetarian for example soup and the stock used. -I didn't like that there was no deadlock on the hotel room door. I felt slightly ill at ease. And although the maid knocked, she knocked and immediately entered - the DND sign was however respected and she was lovely. -not enough sunbeds In any case a lovely stay, a quality hotel, bravo.
