Breakfast was basic. Room was basic Service all over excellent

Just to be more informed around activities in surrounding area. How safe it is to walk on the beach and how far should a.person go.

Staff lack motivation. Service poor. Possible moral issues?

Brilliant location right on the beach. The staff where extremely friendly and helpful. We even had a small problem with our bathroom where the toilet didn't receive any water and it was sorted out within 30 min. Their breakfast and lunches where always very well made and delicious. Rooms where cleaned daily and the overall look of the hotel is neat and clean. There where maintenance carried out while we where there, so they do look after their property. There are warnings about the monkeys and that you need to keep everything closed, but I have to say that we where not bothered by them at all. One cheeky monkey did help themself to a few grapes one breakfast morning but that was as far as that went. Did enjoy the massage as well and was real value for money.

The hotel itself is old, not in the "charming" old way, just old. The lift is probably still from the 1950's so we opted for the stairs (80 to the beach from our room so a nice workout after breakfast). It is however well maintained. Just a pity there isn't a fridge in the rooms (people with medicine that needs to be kept cool might have a problem there, we made a plan with a cooler box), although it is present in their more expensive rooms it seem. The wifi itself where also very shoddy, it will probably be better to use your own. Our room was above the designated smoking area which had 2 problems. The 1st is that there isn't real privacy in the room if the curtains are open. The other issue is that all the smoke gets into the room if you dare open the windows. (It's extremely humid if the windows are closed and only the fan is on in the room). Although staff where always friendly and helpful, the quickness and efficiency where not always there and we had to wait a few times before a waiter was available to assist us. We where on vacation and thus not in a hurry so no train smash but they can have a look at that. We where also a witness on two occasions where staff where shouting at each other due to incorrect orders and I feel that that shouldn't happen in front of patrons. I feel for the price being paid I get less in the room that what I get in B&B's I stay in for almost half the price.

Perfect location, views, services, best buffet breakfast on the coast, always a consistently good experience.

Breakfast was good. Just missed the cold meat and cheeses. Food gets to dry, especially if you go and eat at 09h00

The reception staff are not so friendly as the other staff.

Views, and quality of food is excellent.
