Sharazad Oasis Retreat

The location on the outskirts of Jambiani is beautiful and quiet. The pools and beach are all stunning and relaxing with a breeze that builds throughout the day but always still nice and warm. The staff were a real attribute to the hotel. The staff were always attentive, from room service to front of house, they always went the extra mile to help with the details for your stay. The room was great, spacious, clean and we really enjoyed the outdoor shower. The room doesn't have air conditioning but the ceiling fan was perfect and we had it on the lowest setting every night because the temperature drops at night anyway. We did a few of the excursions organised by the hotel, with a third party that they use. We strongly recommend the Dhow boat trip. We had an issue with one of the tours and the Sharazad team spoke with the tour operator and resolved this in a timely manner. Exactly what you expect from good customer service. The food at breakfast was fantastic, with a spread of fruits with coffee and a smoothie every day followed by a cooked breakfast. This set us up nicely every day. We ate at both The View restaurant and their Asian partner restaurant and found both to be fantastic. As with most of the beach front restaurants, they are western prices, so comparatively expensive to 'local' restaurants but you get the customer service and quality that comes with that and peace of mind that the salad and vegetables are all prepared with mineral water. The WiFi was fantastic across the whole Sharazad site.

Amazing location. Stunning, peaceful hotel with wonderful facilities. Staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

The cost of drinks. The only thing I can fault this hotel on is what they are charging for drinks. More than double the cost of some of the other restaurants/hotels on the same strip of beach

Outstanding hotel in the most beautiful location .The staff were always helpful and friendly .The food was excellent and we had a choice of restaurants .The beach bungalows have a stunning view of the ocean .Water sports facilities at the hotel and yoga classes .We used the spa and again the staff were lovely and the treatments very relaxing .All the pools were lovely and clean and the whole property was well maintained .We would go back without any hesitation.

Staff is very friendly, doing everything for guests comfort and satisfaction. Room, bed is comfortable, pool was good and will be in maintenance as stated by hotel, beach is nice, restaurants variety

Sea is not nice for swimming, very muddy sand inside, mosquitoes are too much

breakfast was the best time in the hotel, with a lot of options and delicious food, the staff was amazing very helpfull at all time, the beach close to the hotel I did not visit but in nungwi you have so many options where to go :D

Beautiful property located on the beach. Perfectly placed to watch the tide come in and out and the locals going about their days. The accommodation has a rustic chic design. Perfect for the location. The 3 pools are lovely, as are the well placed hammocks and places to sit that are generously scattered throughout the resort. Food was great too. The staff were wonderful. Extremely friendly, in a genuine way and lovely to chat to.

Although you could ask for drinks at any time, I would have been great to have a kettle and coffee maker in the room to have a drink in the morning before needing to get dressed.

Everything about this place was great. The location was perfect. Right on the beach but still private. The rooms were lovely. Loads of room, comfortable and the 2 showers were great. The staff were excellent, so friendly and the service was great. The food in both restaurants was delicious and was great to have a choice. The facilities in the resort were great, the pools, the water sports, the yoga studio. I can't fault this place and would highly recommend for a holiday.
