De sfeer en de ruime opbouw

De keuken was in de avond slecht. Ontbijt prima, maar diner erg slecht. Droog, te lang doorgebakken, taai. Na mijn opmerkingen daarover aan keuken en balie: geen reactie.

De kamers waren sleets, viezig, oude matrassen, oude badkamer met kapotte tegels, jaren 70 sanitair. Het zwembad idem. Heel jammer want de tuin en de borrelruimte waren mooi en het personeel deed hun best.

You have to remember that this is Sulawesi, Indonesia. If you expect places likes Cannes or Monaco, you should go there. The Misiliana Hotel is really nice, we loved the architecture, the cleanliness, the breakfast was plentiful. The staff is actually amazing, very helpful and friendly. They have excelent place for massage and they succeed to find place for the four of us at the same hour even though we did not reserve in advance. They also work with a great tour guide from the area that offered us the transfer from Makassar to Toraja and after that to Ampana (2 days trip).

There were minor things that could be improved. For example, the small fridge in the rooms.

We were a group of 6 persons, acommodated in "three cottage rooms". Inspite the atractive exterior, we agreed that this is an outdated Hotel. The rooms were degraded, with damaged furniture and no regard about the decoration, which was none. The bathrooms, also outdated and degraded, had broken sanitary ware, and take a shower became a challenge due to the thin thread of water that came out from the showers. We faced the same challenge when we flushed the toilets... To make things worse, the cleanliness of the rooms leaved a lot to desire, with old rubbish all over the rooms. Plus, all the rooms had TV but none of them functioned, and after complaining three times about it, we concluded that they were pure "decoration" not meant to function at all. The quality and variety of food in the Restaurant was also poor, and the only positive thing were the kindness of staff.
