"Steep dark escalators, beware! food not for English"

6.0

Rooms are great, plenty of room, this was our 2nd time staying here and could not believe the changes! There are now very steep and dangerous escalators going down to the entertainment on the beach!? not well lit and kept breaking down, very dangerous if you'd had few drinks!! not suitable for children, pushchairs, infirm or elderly, an accident waiting to happen, entertainment was hit and miss if you didnt have any then it's all sat in lobby listening to piano music! boring! Staff there hardly speak ANY English at all plus the food does NOT cater for the English people, lots of people complaining about the food! we won't be returning here again,

"Fantastic October break"

10.0

Wow where do I start? We booked over a year ago and were looking forward to it but recent reviews on here and Facebook did make me ponder however I tend to roll my eyes at negative English reviews as they focus on spirits (why?) and food. Well I need not have worried! Firstly it’s important to note it cost us £1900 for a week for 2 adults and 1 child in half term, so my expectations are low, as long as we can swim and there’s at least chips and salad we will survive! Food Considering we are here for the last week of the season I found the food to be fantastic. Slow roasted lamb, beef short ribs, fresh fish and local pasta dishes plus lots of salad and bread choices. Delicious soups. Fabulous omelette bar at breakfast again with lots of options but breakfast is breakfast! I can see why some British don’t like it, there’s no chicken nuggets for a start 😂 or pork. So if these things are important book elsewhere. Ala cartes we tried were the two open, Turkish & fish. Both are brilliant. The coffee shop and patisserie are lovely. Ice creams on the beach good too. We don’t drink alcohol so doesn’t phase us. Good soft drink selection. Probably the best coffee I’ve ever had at an AI (swerve the Starbucks imo). Cafe Blanche really is lovely. Location Gorgeous location, so lovely and quiet with a beautiful beach. Again seen lots of moaning about this but honestly it’s the end of October the sea and pool will be cooler! All 3 of us had no issues in swimming though. The sea is my preferred choice. The slides were good fun too ☺️ lots of lovely snorkelling able to be done! We also got a free room upgrade which was AMAZING! I really love that you can get your steps in round this hotel. Spa Had a fantastic deal from Andy, going to try and book another for our last day! Yes they have conferences on but this is the norm in low season across Europe too. None of us were offended by knitted body parts 😂 Staff Staff are fantastic, I learnt basic Turkish and would recommend people do this. Really lovely service when tipping people properly. They even charged my kindle at reception for me! The only “negatives” are that entertainment starts at midnight 😂 but that doesn’t bother us. I’ve never stayed at the same hotel twice but we are coming back next October we enjoyed it that much ☺️

"Exceeded Expectations"

10.0

Arrived at night so it was dark We were allocated rooms 4121 and 4123 In the morning we were surprised by the lovely sea view probably due to Ozge who i contacted prior to our stay. After breakfast which there was plenty to choose from , i had a walk around the extensive grounds all beautifully kept. I used the escalator to access the circular path thar runs parallel with the sea, a nice walk i found the bank a little tiring to get to main entrance to hotel. Missed entertainment first few nights, we were a little bit disappointed with Madonna show but rest were OK . Food at Sunrise bar was fine but other members of group couldn't download menu but I did manage, food at Beach bar café was cold so didn't try again stuck to main buffet restaurant which for all meals always had something to suit us ( My wife and Brenda are normally very critical as they are fussy eaters) The drinks we used were nearly all branded a bit disappointed there was no bottled Effes beer. Bar staff in all areas were polite and gave us what we required no fault could be found . Our room was kept clean by our daily cleaner who was always pleasant didn't catch her name. A special mention to the floor manager or supervisor in the main restaurant who's name started with U he assisted my wife with her meals nearly every day. Also Ziynet who also went out or our way to clean our table pour our drinks and was very pleasant . We used the lobby bar quite often the bar staff were always patient with us even though they were harassed buy some . Thank you Berkan also the beautiful young waitress Jiypn who saw to our orders when the bar was busy. My wife used a rollator to get down to beach and around the hotel there are ramps some steep we used the escalator with me carrying the rollator so in general the hotel is suited for elderly or disabled persons. We were allowed to keep our room to 17:00 hours free once again due to Ozge . Thank s to all of you that made our holiday so wonderful

"Not as advertised"

6.0

The hotel it self is beautiful and so are the surroundings with a 30 min drive into bodrum I recommend using uber then you won’t get fleeced by the locals , it was around £15 each way whilst the hotel does do a shuttle it’s £10ish each and your limited to only a few hours in the town. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food in the buffet restaurant are very much the same each night (no themed nights like other hotels we’ve been to) most of the snack bars were closed due to weather so you are tied into eating in the buffet , the hotel doesn’t clearly advertise what’s open or not ( the hotel isn’t geared up for rainy weather ) entertainment was cancelled mostly because of the weather however no alternative was on offer so we found our selfs with not a lot to do in the evenings. Upon booking everything was advertised as open including watersports and a la cart restaurants however when we asked we was told not open as it’s end of season. They even started packing away the chairs on the beach on the day it’s was beautiful weather During our stay there was a conference on and I’m assuming it was some form of anti natal conference, they place stools in front of the restaurant where young families are walking to eat and this where the entrance to the pools are and in my opinion the stools were inappropriate for somewhere that is advertised as a family holiday (there was knitted body parts if you get my drift see photos) . Whilst this wasn’t a huge issue for us as our children are older I could see this as an issue for younger families. The shops onsite fleece you they are selling ice creams (walls) however if you take a walk to the beach they are free. Again we had a few days rain and I completely understand this is out the hotels hands none of the snack bars were open and when the weather did improve only half was open just the Starbucks /waffle shack the pool bars , and the slides where shut and when they did open they only opened two of them. Myself and my daughter had a spa including the Turkish bath and a massage and this was lovely , I advise you haggle a little as they will lower the price just for you , the experience was lovely and we was well looked after during the time in the spa. The bars are fully stocked with lots of options they use local spirits but keep the premium stuff hidden I advise you ask for that as they won’t offer it. I can see this is a lovely hotel and mid season would probably be lovely however as an October holiday I would recommend looking elsewhere as anything you wanted to do from the description when booking the reply is end of season not available or closed. Entertainment during the day is non existent and waterslides all closed 12-2 on site shop has hardly anything in it and £60 for a lilo is a bit excessive. Should have gone elsewhere. Whilst the weather didn’t help the situation , it was not as advertised , if you wanted an adult holiday I’d say it’s perfect for you if you come this time of year (October) but for families I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

"Very Good Would Reccomend"

10.0

I stayed here with my family and friends , while boxing in Bodrum - The food wasn’t exceptional but there was definitely enough selection with extra restaurants , the hotel staff was very helpful - with a hotel rep taking us back and forth to the boxing gym 5 times out of our 9 day holiday , at a cheap price - The rooms were spacious however the blankets were very small but bearable - they upgraded our rooms when we arrived which was nice. The entertainment team was very good and Eddie was very helpful they had activities here for all ages. Even though the weather was a bit rubbish for some time as we was in October overall the hotel and the holiday was very good and would definitely recommend

"Not as advertised"

4.0

This hotel promised so much on social media and on their actual website but delivered very little. We were fortunate enough to have very nice weather our first 4 days but it turned on the last 3 days. This was an opportunity for the hotel to really shine but it didn't. No entertainment for kids, I didn't once see the kids club. Slides were closed on the drizzly days as was the pool bar even though there was people still outside all be it not as busy. Slides are only open for a few hours in the morning and in the afternoon so you can't just come an go. Food in the main buffet area was for the most part delicious but very same same every day. Not much for kids though especially if you have picky eaters like mine for lunch and dinner. 24 hour snack bar is not what you think. Its a sit down restaurant with a very limited menu. You will order at the same time but your food will come out at different times. Caesar salad was a tiny portion and more salad cream than caesar dressing with 3 measly pieces of chicken. The burger was by far the best option which my son had 4 nights in a row cos the buffet offered nothing for him. Fortunately on the last 3 nights they main buffet started offering pizzas and chocolate fountains so he enjoyed that. As for the hot food in the buffet area it was always the same either mostly lamb or mostly beef or mostly fish, with some chicken or turkey options available. The beef rib was delicious the first night but the beef steak the following night was dry and tough, couldn't eat it. Staff for the most part were pleasant but not friendly they only interacted with you if they had to. The hotel is very clean but cleaners do come awfully early to your room in the morning. The surroundings are beautiful. We made the most of it but I definitely won't be going back

"The hotel should act decently, it should drop its prices at least twice and provide full refund"

1.0

Absolutely nothing

The rooms smell badly, the furiture is old, the carpets and bathroom are dirty. Overrated hotel that is far away from matching minimal standards of a 5-star hotel. I stayed there for one hour only and escaped as soon as possible. The hotel refused to refund my money.

"Potential to be great but……."

4.0

Live review as we’re 4 days into a 10 day stay. Rooms are nice, pool areas are nice too and this hotel has lots of potential but the service is really lacking. Staff here - and I imagine this comes from management - seem to have forgotten that they’re in the hospitality trade and so just don’t feel very hospitable. Couple of examples in the last four days: 1. Housekeeping knock on the door early each morning, around 9am. They seem very cross at being asked to give us half an hour to get ourselves sorted and out of the door and usually knock again within 10-15 minutes. Usually you could put a do-not-disturb sign on the door, but this hotel doesn’t seem to have these. No lie in for you or your kids on this holiday! 2. I understand that an all inclusive will have some repetition but this really is something else. The buffet has almost the exact same food every day. It’s pretty good but please guys vary it up!. Tip for management: You can still keep 80-90% of the food the same but vary up the main/meat choices! 3. Daytime food is a disaster if you’re eating away from the buffet. The staff at the sunrise snack bar seem disgusted that you’ve dared to ask them for food and throw the food at you with disgust, and only after you’ve asked for it on multiple occasions. Oh and it’s the exact same, limited, luke warm offering at every single meal. We haven’t ventured round to the other lunch place but we’ve heard from other guests that the food - and experience - is the same over there. 4. Understand that it’s quieter now in October than at high season but really disappointing that more of the restaurant choices are closed. 5. Weather is poor this week so more people are naturally using the indoor pool and spa facilities. Instead of embracing this, the hotel have decided to inexplicably block off direct access from the indoor pool to the spa area, forcing guests to walk from the pool, soaking wet, outdoors in the rain, around through the spa lobby into the spa. Why?!?! 6. When the weather is poor, several bars and restaurants seemed to inexplicably close without warning. Not sure where guests are supposed to eat/drink? 7. This evening the sun returned - hurrah! We sat with our children at the pool at 6pm to let them swim and for us to watch the sunset. Rather than allow us to enjoy this, we had several staff members grunting at us to move while they cleaned around the sunbeds. Again, hospitality doesn’t seem to be the strong point here! 8. Just phoned down to try and get an ironing board and iron sent up - standard in most hotels. Not here! They don’t have irons but don’t seem to be able to offer an ironing service either. 9. Drinks and service in the main bar behind the lobby are DREADFUL! Flat beer, sour wine, rude service. There are many positives about this hotel and it could be fabulous but all feels like the staff just can’t quite be bothered. There are some exceptions: Can in the buffet restaurant and snack bar is super friendly and the front desk staff are helpful but generally it’s all a bit meh. This was a much longed for holiday after a very difficult period as a family and instead of feeling relaxed and looked after, we’re instead feeling a bit on edge and as though we’re imposing on the staff by simply being here!
