Iberostar Waves Tucan - All Inclusive

Sin duda, la playa es de las más hermosas que he visto en la zona de Cancún y Playa del Carmen. Las piscinas son excelentes y, afortunadamente, durante nuestra estancia el hotel no estaba saturado. Esto marcó la diferencia ya que no hubo filas en los restaurantes y siempre encontramos lugar en la playa o la piscina sin el estrés típico de otros all-inclusive. Además, la arquitectura del hotel es preciosa; está integrado en un entorno natural rodeado de bosque y fauna local. Nos encantó la conexión con la naturaleza!

La oferta gastronómica podría ser más diversa y, sobre todo, los horarios más flexibles. El restaurante mexicano solo abría de lunes a viernes por la noche, limitando mucho las opciones de cena. Además, todos los restaurantes cierran a las 21:00, lo que dificulta mucho comer algo después de esa hora. Mi mayor inconveniente fue la falta de empatía al viajar con un bebé en proceso de adaptación horaria: no nos permitieron entrar al buffet ni 20 minutos antes de la apertura, ofreciéndome solo papas fritas en la zona de playa como alternativa. Me pareció un hotel muy poco baby-friendly y falto de criterio ante situaciones especiales.

Bequeme Betten, sauber, überwiegend freundliches Personal, Tolle Strandlage, gutes Essen und Getränke. Schöne Pools und tolle Anlage mit vielen Tieren. Sehr gute Massage am Strand. Kinderspielplatz. Late Checkout für 15$ die Stunde möglich.

Die Pools waren eiskalt. Vor allem der Kinderpool. Sehr weitläufig mit kleinen Kindern, überall Wasser, was total schön war, aber anstrengend, wenn man beim Essen immer schauen muss, dass das Baby nicht ins Wasser rennt. Weit weg vom Zentrum Playa del Carmen. Teures Hotel.

The staff in the restaurants were very friendly.

Room cleaning staff stole two items of clothing (women's sports tops). When we confronted them about it the next day, they gave them back to us, saying that they “thought they were their own cleaning rags.”

The beach, staff, atmosphere, cleanliness, room and Italian restaurant were excellent

The Japanese restaurant has degraded in the 3 years since we last visited. They used a cheap grade of meat and the theatrics were to a minimum. The buffet at times was excellent but inconsistent on other times.

Todo demasiado bueno

Our introduction to Tucan was with Concierge Cony, she was warm, welcoming, able to answer all our questions and immediately made us feel like we were home. The layout of the resort is nice, with both transport available and walking paths. The walking path through the jungle allows you to feel the peace of the animals surrounding you, coati, peacock, spider monkey and howler monkies share thier space with you. Im not the resort type... but I would stay with iberostar again

The resort is scheduled for a make over so I suspect the expected conveniences will be improved. I have nothing worth noting for dislikes
