Delicious dinner. The room was clean and quiet. The dining room/bar area was pretty

No hot water. There appeared to be a bar but there was no alcohol for sale. Very far out of town. It was all rather run down which was a shame as it must once have been very nice.

The staff at reception was adorable. One of our children was sick when we arrived, and when we asked if there was a pharmacy nearby, they first searched the hotel to find paracetamol and then actually went out and bought it for us, then brought it to our room. It can’t have been too close either as the hotel is quite remote from Sorong. We were beyond grateful for such kindness and hospitality. Much appreciated!

Don’t stay here the place is dilapidated dirty and staff can’t really be bothered for any pleasantry’s and the place is pretty much a con. Where to start most things they list on their booking.com page is a lie regarding facilities near by etc as there is NONE walkable all are at least 12 mins ride in a car. They do not let you spend cash there for bills in their restaurant (or anything at this hotel ) where even after you have managed to order a struggle in itself as even when pointing to the menu (no English at all or very very limited ) they still brought out the wrong drinks (hand to sit and watch their cat climb on the table and eat the owners leftovers ) or didn’t have stuff listed then the food is awful and very expensive for the quality and compared to prices everywhere in Indonesia then not only after having to go up and get the right drinks ourselves they charged us 10% service on top of the exorbitant price plus then made us walk to reception across the death trap of a wooden (rotten/nails hanging out) walkway in the rain to reception to settle the bill you can’t even pay at the restaurant when I complained that you couldn’t pay cash and also get charged fee of 2% to pay by card and that it was a con the receptionist laughed at me also informed them hot water in our room wasn’t working they said they DONt have hot water it’s just a cold shower only. Also half the views you see online of the nice view of sunset is roped off as it’s clearly a subsidence risk is unsafe and the lower deck area overgrown and wood completely rotten out. On walking from The reception on check in my husband rolled his ankle as one of the wooden plants on the “walkway” gave way and snapped. Our room walls were filthy desperately needed painting the ceiling in the bathroom covered in black mould and the towels provided super old and had rips etc in. The main light in the room.

Peace and quiet. Nice pool. Excellent, friendly, helpful staff.

The only thing missing was a small fridge in the room.

The place could be amazing, cute and good rooms. But - No English, Hardly any service, Dirty pool, No beach access and I got food poisond here. So not super happy

Good wifi

I stayed 3 days at Katsuari Resort on 8-11 Jan. 2025. I regret the choice because the resort sadly has not been maintained. The rooms are badly run down, aircons are old, more cleaning is needed to satify guests. The 2 pools sadly are have not been reglarly cleaned as green algae is growing at the bottom. This is a health risk for anyone swimming! The staff is minimal and do not speak english at all so communications were poor and difficult. On the positive side the wifi worked well and could be found all over the resort. The restaurant dishes were pretty good but service not attentive at all. I will not go back to this place and my stay was a disappointment and uncomfortable. I would NOT recommend anyone to pay to stay at this place- its a crime to leave the beautiful grounds so badly managed.
