The host was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds, spacious and clean room. Very tasty breakfast with the view of the lake.

I had the pleasure of staying one night at Rivers Edge in Kandy, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The place was immaculately clean, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at home. The staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and went out of their way to accommodate any request we had, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location is superb – central yet surrounded by nature, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. The open-air dining area, with its stunning views of the river, trees, and mountains, is a haven for birdwatching and relaxation. Enjoying a coffee on the deck by the river was a highlight of our stay. The menu offers a great selection of both local and international dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. I highly recommend Rivers Edge to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway in Kandy. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, natural beauty, and excellent service.

The management and staff very helpful, kind, honest and generous. It does require a tuktuk to town and they recomended Dilan who was great!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel nestled in nature, surrounded by the calming presence of trees and the cheerful songs of birds. The atmosphere is truly a paradise for nature lovers. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel more like staying with friends than just being a guest. The hotel was impeccably clean, with every detail thoughtfully attended to, which added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of my stay. The on-site restaurant is an absolute gem. With its open design, it offers stunning views while you enjoy your meal. The ambiance is further enhanced by a pool table, adding a fun and relaxed vibe to the dining experience. The food was exceptional, bursting with authentic Sri Lankan flavors that left me eager for each meal. If you're looking for a place where you can unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy some of the best Sri Lankan cuisine, this hotel is the perfect choice. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Staff was nice

Dirty rooms, dirty towels, dirty sheets there was an insect-nest in the corner of the AC remote box. I asked for a towel and I got a dirty one. The shower was clogged, there was dust in the bathroom. We went to visit the dining room and we saw a bat and a cat in there.
